3.内外接口通吃DisplayPort的外接型接头有两种:一种是标准型,类似USB、HDMI等接头;另一种是低矮型,主要针对连接面积有限的应用,比如超薄笔记型电脑。

两种接头的最长外接距离都可以达到15米,并且接头和接线的相关规格已为日后升级做好了准备,即便未来DisplayPort采用新的2X速率标准(21.6Gbps),接头和接线也不必重新进行设计。

除实现设备与设备之间的连接外,DisplayPort还可用作设备内部的接口,甚至是芯片与芯片之间的数据接口。

与DisplayPort 1.1a标准相比,新标准的传输速率实现倍增,并正式将Mini-DP接口标准写入了DisplayPort1.2規范,成为属于DP 1.2规范的一部分。

本文將就以下三點,說明新版規範對連接器及線纜廠的影響:一、規範新增功能概要與線纜特性關係。

二、新規範對於線材及接頭結構的變動。

三、規範新增线材种类与高频测试规格的關係。

一、規範新增功能概要與線纜特性關係本節以 A、新版規範增加的七大功能與線纜的關係 B、新版规范對接頭及線材的影響,來介紹新版規範。

在向下兼容的基础上,DisplayPort 1.2的主要新特性有:A、新版規範增加的七大功能與線纜的關係:在向下兼容的基础上,DisplayPort 1.2的主要新特性有以下几点:1、传输速率的提升每个信道的数据传输率翻番到5.4Gbps,总带宽最高可达21.6Gbps,能大大提升显示分辨率、色深、刷新率、多显能力,支持全高清120Hz 3D立体显示、3840×2160×30bpp分辨率、4K×2K四倍全高清分辨率、10bit高色彩范围等等。

2、支持多流只需一根数据线即可传输多个独立的未压缩视频和音频流,满足受保护内容播放和3D游戏等高性能应用,可配置为单链式或者中央式。

举例来说,DP 1.1a只能支持一台显示器设置为2560×1600 @ 60Hz,DP 1.2能支持两台这种显示器,或者四台1920×1200,而且都是一根线缆。

视频电子标准协会(VESA)公布了DisplayPort显示接口标准的最终版本:DisplayPort 1.0。

作为DVI的继任者,DisplayPort将在传输视频信号的同时加入对高清音频信号传输的支持,同时支持更高的分辨率和刷新率。

根据设计,DisplayPort既支持外置显示连接,也支持内置显示连接。

VESA希望笔记本厂商不仅使用DisplayPort连接独立显示器,也能使用它来直接连接液晶显示屏和主板,方便笔记本的升级。

为此,DisplayPort接口也设计得非常小巧,既方便笔记本的使用,也允许显卡配置多个接口。

DisplayPort 1.0规格支持单通道、单向、四线路连接,数据传输率10.8Gbps,足以传送未经压缩的视频和相关音频,同时还支持1Mbps的双向辅助通道,供设备控制之用,此外还支持8位和10位颜色。

在数据传输上,DisplayPort使用了“micro-packetised”格式。

VESA还表示,DisplayPort具备高度的可扩展性,可以在今后不断加入更多新内容。

与消费电子领域内的HDCP类似,DisplayPort也可以通过128位AES加密实现对HD视频数据的拷贝保护。

事实上,VESA也盯紧了消费电子市场,声称DisplayPort同样可以很方便地连接电视、DVD播放器等设备。

VESA在一年前左右开始开发DisplayPort,而之后不久,特别利益组织(SIG)提出了UDI(通用显示界面),可以同时兼容HDMI和DVI,而这一点正是DisplayPort所缺乏的。

不过,UDI虽然可以通过HDMI支持HDCP反盗版系统,但就像DVI,或者说不像HDMI和DisplayPort,它不支持音频信号传输。

UDI 1.0预计本季度完成。

DisplayPort的支持者有戴尔、惠普、联想、飞利浦、ATi等,UDI得到了Intel、LG、苹果、国家半导体等的拥护,nVIDIA和三星等则同时支持DisplayPort和UDI。

The system design incorporating a Mini DisplayPort receptacle must be designed so that a Mini DisplayPort plug fully mates with the Mini DisplayPort receptacle with appropriate margin, but sufficient control to prevent an incorrect contact sequence due to angled insertion. The receptacle design must provide an appropriate allowance for a panel, bezel or similar (when used) so that this requirement is met. To meet these requirements, the distance from datum E in the receptacle to the externally accessible mating interface on the device shall be at least 5.7mm and shall not exceed 8.0mm.4.2.3.10Recommended PCB MountingThe recommended mounting for the Mini DisplayPort Connector to a PCB uses surface-mount contacts for the mating interface top row of pins and thru-hole contacts for the mating interface bottom row of pins. Figure 4-41 below shows the Mini DisplayPort Connector’s PCB interface, i.e. the sizes and positions of the surface mount contacts, the thru-hole contacts and the locating lugs. 在DSC 版本中,可以允许3:1的视觉无损视频流压缩。

DP 标准提供的“交替模式(Alt Mode)”就已经支持通过USB Type-C、Thunderbolt雷电接口同步传输视频和数据流。

而DP 则更进一步,允许SuperUSB(USB )传输数据的同时,同步传输高清视频。

此外,DP 将支持60Hz的8K分辨率(7680 x 4320)HDR视频以及120Hz的4K HDR视频。

2、HDR元数据传输:通过使用DP标准中的“二次数据包”提供对当前CTA 标准的支持,对于DP—HDMI 转换协议很有用。

此外,还提供了更为灵活的元数据包传输,对未来的动态HDR进行支持。

3、扩展音频传输:该规范可覆盖诸如32位音频通道、1536kHz采样率以及目前所有已知音频格式。

Display Port技朮詳解Display Port的链接线路包含了一个单向的主链接(Main Link),专门用于视频信号传输和一个辅助传输通道(AUX CH,Auxiliary Channel),以及一个即插即用识别链接(HPD,Hot-Plug Detect)。

其中Main Link包括了一个High-bandwidth,一个Low-latency和unidirectional。

它的功能是Isochronous Stereams专门用于数据的传输。

关于AUX CH是专门的控制管理总线,包括了一个主要的线路控制Main Link management和一个设备控制总线Device control。

那个即插即用管理的功能自然而然的变成了IRQ分配管理之用。

关于主传输通道Main Link。

从大体架构图上看,Main Link是个从源设备Source Device到Sink Device设备的单向通道。

Main Link的信号输入实际上是采用的简单的AC Coupled即通过电容耦合输入的信号传输,因此线路宽度控制在了0.35um到0.065um之间甚至更低。

小Main Link其实是由1至4组不等的Lanes构成的,每组Lane都由成对(即两条)的线路所构成,信号使用类似串行的差分技术(即通过两条线路的电压差值来表示二进制0或1),每组Lane 的带宽可达2.7Gbps,4组合计达到10.8Gbps。

这样强大的宽带,对于色彩以及分辨率实现了前所未有的强大支持。

在编码技术上,DisplayPort使用了ANSI 8B/10B技术,这种编码方案把一个8比特字节编码为两个10比特字符,用于平衡高速传输的比特流中1和0的数量,以确保传输的精确性。

由于时脉信号直接与视频资料信号共混传输,如此就省去额外设置时脉线路的需要,而DVI、HDMI仍然拥有一条独立的时脉线路,在EMI(电磁干扰)设计上难度较大。

DisplayPort是一种数字高清视频传输标准,最初是为了取代PC显示器的DVI、VGA接口和其它数字视频设备的LVDS接口而开发的。

相对于目前最流行的HDMI接口来说,DisplayPort能实现更大的传输带宽、具有更好的可扩展性和外围设备兼容性,且低成本、功耗低。

DisplayPort可以直接驱动液晶面板,可节省大量的电路费用和空间,标准完全开放,不需要支付版权费用。

DisplayPort 1.1标准的4条主通道的传输速度最高为10.8Gbps,满足了传输高清信号的要求。

当前的DisplayPort 1.1设备的速率有两种分别为1.62Gbps和2.7Gbps,未来设备的速率可达5.4Gbps。

最近推出的新标准DisplayPort 1.2,其传输速率在单通道可达5.4Gbps,四通道可达21.6Gbps。

DisplayPort标准的发展和速率的提升,为DisplayPort测试带来了新挑战。

VESA组织已创建了全面的一致性测试规范,即DisplayPort CTS,要求对DisplayPort产品的物理层和链路层进行一致性测试。

物理层测试包括接收端测试、源端测试和电缆测试。

DisplayPort组成结构前面大概介绍了下DisplayPort的主要特点,下面将对DisplayPort的组成结构及性能做个剖析,相信读者看完之后会对DisplayPort有更深入的了解。

我们在前面讲到,DisplayPort的数据传输由主通道和辅助通道组成,此外再加上一条叫做HPD(热插拔检测Hot Plug Detect)的信号线就构成了DisplayPort的数据通道主体。

图10. DisplayPort数据传输通道在外观上,外部用的接口共有20个引脚,形状类似于USB和HDMI接头,但是DisplayPort提供了一种可让接头反扣于连接处的牢固设计(见下图中的红圈处),可防止意外冲撞或线材自身重量导致的接头脱落现象。

用户可根据自己的需要来决定是否购买带卡勾的DisplayPort线材。

此外,内接DisplayPort允许的线路长度达610mm,这在设计大尺寸HDTV时非常有用。

这有点类似于USB的设计,但不可否认的是,这种设计可以让生产厂商节约很多时间和成本,同时也降低了设计难度。

1.主连接通道DisplayPort的主连接通道可由1,2,4对传输线组成,是单向、高带宽、低延时通道,负责传输音视频内容,可根据信号内容选择主通道所需线对数,每对线称为一个Lane。

单个Lane可支持2.7Gb/s(全带宽)或者1.62Gb/s的传输率,所以最高的传输率为2.7Gb/s*4=10.8Gb/s。

Lane的传输率是2.7Gb/s还是1.62Gb/s由发送设备和接收设备的容量以及通道的质量(多数情况下指线材)来共同决定。

DisplayPort技术简介及物理层测试方案-李凯随着人们对于显示质量要求的逐步提升,对于显示设备的分辨率、色彩、刷新率都提出了更高的要求,相应地也要求显示接口具有更高带宽的数据传输能力。

传统的VGA接口由于采用模拟传输的方式,当年是为了适应CRT显示器的需要,传输带宽有限,而且传输距离和传输质量都不是很理想。

随着大屏幕液晶显示器越来越普及,相应的显示接口方案也逐渐从模拟接口过渡到数字接口。

最早得到普及的数字显示接口是DVI,但是由于DVI的数据速率只到1.65Gbps,提升空间有限,而且DVI不支持数字音频信号的传输,所以DVI目前逐渐在被基于DVI技术的HDMI取代。

HDMI目前1.3版本支持的数据速率最高到3.4 Gbps,采用TMDS(传输最小差分信号)信号传输,可以同时传输视频和音频数据,目前在消费电子领域已经逐渐普及。

另一种非常有潜力的数字显示接口方案就是DisplayPort,DisplayPort以其开放的标准和先进的技术而得到众多PC和显示设备厂家的看好。

DisplayPort的发起组织是VESA,Genesis、Intel、AMD、Analogix、 HP、Dell包括Agilent等都积极参与了标准的制定,其主要优势在于非常高的数据速率、方便的连接、完善的内容保护及基于包交换的数据传输方式。

例如DisplayPort可以在4条链路上同时传输1.62Gbps或2.7Gbps的高速视频数据,还提供AuxChannel用于链路控制和音频数据的传输。

DisplayPort采用类似PCI-Express的物理层方案,数据编码使用ANSI的8b/10b编码,时钟内嵌在数据流中,链路宽度可以选择1、2或4,发送和接收间采用AC耦合,因此在提高数据速率的同时简化了电路设计和提高了灵活性。

Display Port技术详解Display Port的链接线路包含了一个单向的主链接(Main Link),专门用于视频信号传输和一个辅助传输通道(AUX CH,Auxiliary Channel),以及一个即插即用识别链接(HPD,Hot-Plug Detect)。

其中Main Link包括了一个High-bandwidth,一个Low-latency和unidirectional。

它的功能是Isochronous Stereams专门用于数据的传输。

关于AUX CH是专门的控制管理总线,包括了一个主要的线路控制Main Link management和一个设备控制总线Device control。

那个即插即用管理的功能自然而然的变成了IRQ分配管理之用。

关于主传输通道Main Link。

从大体架构图上看,Main Link是个从源设备Source Device到Sink Device设备的单向通道。

Main Link的信号输入实际上是采用的简单的AC Coupled即通过电容耦合输入的信号传输,因此线路宽度控制在了0.35um到0.065um之间甚至更低。

Main Link其实是由1至4组不等的Lanes构成的,每组Lane都由成对(即两条)的线路所构成,信号使用类似串行的差分技术(即通过两条线路的电压差值来表示二进制0或1),每组Lane的带宽可达2.7Gbps,4组合计达到10.8Gbps。

这样强大的宽带,对于色彩以及分辨率实现了前所未有的强大支持。

在编码技术上,DisplayPort使用了ANSI 8B/10B技术,这种编码方案把一个8比特字节编码为两个10比特字符,用于平衡高速传输的比特流中1和0的数量,以确保传输的精确性。

由于时脉信号直接与视频资料信号共混传输,如此就省去额外设置时脉线路的需要,而DVI、HDMI仍然拥有一条独立的时脉线路,在EMI(电磁干扰)设计上难度较大。

这样我们对DisplayPort技术有了一个大致的了解,下面举个例子认识一下它的优势。

与DisplayPort 1.1a标准相比,新标准的传输速率实现倍增,并正式将Mini-DP接口标准写入了DisplayPort1.2規范,成为属于DP 1.2规范的一部分。

本節以 A、新版規範增加的七大功能與線纜的關係 B、新版规范對接頭及線材
的影響,來介紹新版規範。

在向下兼容的基础上,DisplayPort 1.2的主要新特性有以下几点:
1、传输速率的提升
每个信道的数据传输率翻番到5.4Gbps,总带宽最高可达21.6Gbps,能大大提升显示分辨率、
色深、刷新率、多显能力,支持全高清120Hz 3D立体显示、3840×2160×30bpp分辨率、4K×2K
四倍全高清分辨率、10bit高色彩范围等等。

由于传输速率极大的提升,故需要提高线材的特性要求才能达到这样的传输速率,故对我们
的线材厂商来说,又是一个不小的挑战。

2、支持多流
只需一根数据线即可传输多个独立的未压缩视频和音频流,满足受保护内容播放和3D游戏等高性能应用,可配置为单链式或者中央式。

举例来说,DP 1.1a只能支持一台显示器设置为2560×1600 @ 60Hz,DP 1.2能支持两台这种显示器,或者四台1920×1200,而且都是一根线缆。

3、支持高速双向数据传输
可在标准DP数据线内传输USB 2.0或者以太网数据。

AUX通道的最大数据传输率从1Mbps直接提升到720Mpbs,可满足USB 2.0带宽需要,支持从/向显示器传输USB数据(Display USB),以及标准以太网数据。

4、支持Mini-DisplayPort接口
迷你微型接口,比现在的DisplayPort接口小 60%左右,适合I/O空间狭窄的超轻薄便携设备。

Mini-DP接口标准公布于2009年11月份,现在属于DP 1.2规范的一部分.
5、增强音频技术
-支持音频拷贝保护和类别代码。

-支持Dolby MAT、DST HD等所有蓝光音频格式,以及中国的DRA标准。

-使用全球时间码(GTC),支持音频与视频、多个音频通道、多个音频接收设备之间的同步协助。

1,由于传输速率的提升,故对线材的高频测试要求与1.1a相比来的更严格些,故对我们的线材厂商来说需要提升线材的特性要求.
2,新增加Mini-DisplayPort接口的,由于比比现在的DisplayPort接口小 60%左右,因此可加工的空間甚小,可以預見,对于加工厂商来说加工的難度及特性的控制上會是一挑戰。

2,DisplayPort1.2版原线材介绍
¿DisplayPort1.2版线材与1.1a相比并无改变,只是由于传输速率的翻倍,测试规格的变严,线材的制作难度要高些。

由于Mini-DisplayPort接头的特性相对full-size DisplayPort接头要差一些,故从上图可以看出Mini-DisplayPort接头的规格相对于full-size DisplayPort接头的规格来说要宽松一些。

DisplayPort從1.1版的每對最高傳輸速率2.7Gbps提升到1.2版的每對5.4Gbps。

并支援以下三種速度:
1--High Bit Rate 2 (bpc:5.4Gbps, bpp:21.6 Gbps)
2--High Bit Rate (bpc:2.7Gbps, bpp:10.8Gbps)
3--Reduced (Low) Bit Rate (bpc:1.62Gbps, bpp: 6.48 Gbps)
但是對于我們DisplayPort成品線高頻測試來說就只分成高速線(2.7Gbps and5.4Gbps per lane)和低速線(1.62Gbps per lane)這兩種規格。
