教的班级多先不说,只是这个课程的重要性就处于一个很尴尬的位置,口语课,不是每天都有的语文、数学课,也不是音乐、体育、美术课——虽然每周的课时数是一样的。
每一次检查孩子的作业完成情况,心情都是比较复杂的。
英语口语的作业完成更需要家长的配合,不只是督促、提醒孩子去完成,有时还需要家长们的参与——很开心地参与,让孩子体会到说英语、用英语的乐趣。
为此,每一次的作业布置,除了简单的听、读、等的作业板书在黑板上,还有一些是引导孩子在平常的生活、学习中怎样去用英语的。
由于这样的作业表达起来会比较麻烦,为了避免孩子登记作业负担太重。

如何有效地布置小学英语口语作业小学英语新课程标准要求:小学英语教学旨在激发和培养学生学习英语的兴趣,使学生树立自信心,养成良好的学习习惯和形成有效的学习策略,发展自主学习的能力和合作精神;使学生掌握一定的英语基础知识和听、说、读、写技能,形成一定的综合语言运用能力;培养学生的观察、记忆、思维、想像能力和创新精神;帮助学生了解世界和中西方文化的差异,拓展视野,培养爱国主义精神,形成健康的人生观,为他们的终身学习和发展打下良好的基础。
根据这个标准,在小学低年级段要加强对学生口语表达能力的训练。
为弥补课堂上时间少、练习不足的缺点,一些教师给小学生布置一些课外的口语作业,我认为适当地布置课外实践运用性的口语任务对学生口语水平的提高是很有帮助的。
那么如何来设置口语作业来提高小学生的口语表达能力呢?我认为应做到以下三点:一、作业设置要有趣味性,避免枯燥无味小学生由于其年龄、心理特点所决定,注意力保持时间较短;爱玩、好动,对新奇事物感兴趣。
根据这一特点,我们的作业设置要体现趣味性,要让学生在有趣的活动中感受口语,提高表达能力;我们尽量不要布置这样的作业,把书第几页读几遍,这种枯燥乏味的作业提不起学生的兴趣,达不到预想的效果。
例如,在学习了新标准英语第二册Module 1 关于数字相加的表达后,我给同学们布置了这样的作业:猜年龄。
让学生回家找出哥哥、姐姐、弟弟、妹妹、爸爸、妈妈、爷爷、奶奶的照片贴到一张纸上,旁边用数字相加的形式表示出年龄,第二天上课以小组为单位进行交流。
结果同学们动手做的都很不错,有的同学在家长的帮助下还建立了表格,课上同学们拿着贴像交流得热火朝天,连平时不爱发言的同学也说得非常好。
给孩子布置有趣味性的作业,并且给孩子展示自己才华的机会。
在学习了新标准英语第三册第四模块第二单元“What are you doing?”一课后,我给学生设置了这样的作业题:用最简单的画画出今天晚上你的父母亲和你的弟弟或妹妹及你在做什么,图边配上英语词组加以说明,明天上课进行口语小红旗比赛,让学生到讲台上展示自我,结果太出乎我的意料了,同学们不仅显示了很好的绘画才能,而且也能自如地用英语描绘出所做的事情。

二、初中英语口语作业优化策略(一)英语口语作业内容上的新颖化在英语学习中,思维能力是其灵魂。
为此,除了在课堂教学中坚持语言与思维的一体性训练,还必须通过作业来引导学生开展有学科特色的、以语言文字为工具的思维活动,使作业成为训练思维的体操。
过去英语作业仅限于单词和句子的摘抄、背课文、写文章等,脱离学生的生活实际。
新课程改革的核心就是要以学生的发展为本,培养学生的实践能力和创新能力。
