Unit 5 Reading 1 Teaching Design
Teaching aims:
1. Learn something about Halloween.
2. Practice reading comprehension.
Teaching contents:
words: paint, inside, knock, shout, if, special
phrases: tell…about have a party a game called… at Ha lloween

Teaching methods and strategies:task-based language teaching, Communicative teaching
Teaching aids: WB, smart note- book
Teaching procedures:
Step One :Revision
By showing some pictures about the festivals to the students and review some knowledge about festivals
【设计意图】显示图片复习节日课堂教学以生生对话,师生对话的形式展开,活跃气氛,拉近距离,做好铺垫。
【课件设计方法】:凸显,拖拉,隐藏等功能
Step Two: Pre-reading
1.Show a picture about Halloween to the students, tell them my own experience at Halloween, lead the new words.
2.Go on exchanging information about Halloween to present new words.(教学光盘中的单词)
【设计意图】教师借助与图片,和学生谈论万圣节的相关文化呈现生词和短语。
【课件设计方法】插入教学光盘中的单词以及发音,带领学生学习并操练生词。
Step Three :While reading
Skimming
To let Ss read the passage quickly and quietly to get the answers:
When is Halloween?
Who wrote(写) the article?
【设计意图】教师介绍课文情境,指导学生带着问题快速阅读文章。
【课件设计方法】利用白板拖拉功能呈现答案。
Scanning
1.To play the flash and encourage the Ss to fill in the blanks:

【设计意图】通过眼,耳,脑,手训练学生快速获取知识的能力。
【课件设计方法】先插入光盘中的动画,然后插入电子课本中P51的B1 ,利用屏幕遮盖功能出现答案,或者用笔功能直接书写答案。
3.To ask three students to read Paragraph 2-4 ,then complete the information about “What do people do to celebrate it?”
4.Pair work and complete B2
【课件设计方法】插入电子课本中的B2,呈现答案,教师也可以利用笔功能在题目上进行批注。
Step Three Post-reading
1.Watch ,listen and practice reading
【设计意图】(通过听说训练,为下一环节做准备)
【课件设计方法】插入电子课本P58,播放录音,暂停,让学生跟读;教师可以用银光笔在学生难读,难懂的地方做批注。
2.A competition between boys and girls

【设计意图】让学生细读课文,教师用男女生竞赛的形式检查学生对课文细节部分的掌握情况,同时培养敢于质疑、大胆质疑的能力
【课件设计方法】利用链接功能,通过投骰子选择问题回答。
3.Andy wants to know something about Halloween. He is having a talk with Millie. 【设计意图】培养学生对知识的灵活运用能力。
【课件设计方法】插入电子课本P 60 B4,教师可以用遮盖,荧光笔书写等功能显示答案。

Teaching aims:To let Ss retell the passage and some Language points
To let Ss know how to tell others some information about a festival.
To arouse Ss’ feelings of festivals

Teaching precedures:
Step One: Review
1.the new words (read, spell or have a dictation)
2.To ask Ss work in pairs to find out the following phrases.

Step Two: Free talk and warm up

【设计意图】: 教师以生生对话,师生对话的形式展开,引导学生复习上一课课文中万圣节庆祝活动,为复述课文打好基础。从而活跃气氛,拉近距离,做好铺垫。
【课件设计方法】淡入,隐藏等功能,拖动图片,让学生说出万圣节活动等的英文表达。
【课件设计方法】淡入,隐藏等功能;或用魔术笔书写
Step Four: To complete the conversation between Joan and Tommy P 46.
【设计意图】学生在复述课文的基础上顺利完成对话练习,分角色朗读操练。
【课件设计方法】插入电子课本P 46 内容,运用笔功能教师进行批注
