一、数词的定义

表示数目、数字和顺序的词叫数词。

二、数词的分类

(一)、基数词的构成

1、定义：基数词表示数字及数目的多少，在句子中可以作主语、宾语、表语和定语。

2、基数词的构成

①基数词中1-12是独立单词，需逐个记忆

②13-19后缀-teen结尾，其中thirteen, fifteen, eighteen是不规则变化。

③20-90等整十位数词后缀-ty结尾。

⑤. 百位数由1-9加hundred 构成，如包含十位数及个位数，中间用and 连接，也可不用，如只包含个位数，即十位数为零时，则and 不可省。

4.与基数词合成的复合定语，其中的名词用单数。如：a three-month-old baby 一个三个月大的婴儿。

（二）、序数词的构成

1、定义：序数词表示数目的顺序，其前一定要加定冠词the。在句子中主要作定语，

也可以作主语、表语和宾语。

2、序数的构成

①序数词中除了前三个（first, second, third）特殊之外，其余序数词都以–th 结尾。

1st- first 2nd-second 3rd-third 4th-fourth 5th-fifth12th-twelfth

②整十的序数词的构成方法是（20-90）：先将十位数的基数词的词尾-ty 中的y 变为i, 然后加后缀-eth.

③十位数的序数词，如包含1-9的个位数时，十位数用基数词，个位数用序数词，中间须有连字符“-”。
