本课是外研版八年级上册第一模块的第一单元，是一节听说课。本课是新学期的第一课，在开学之初介绍学习方法、帮助学生制定学习计划将对以后的有效学习形成重要的指导作用。通过本单元听和说的训练，将为整个模块知识的输出以及第二单元的阅读与写作起到良好的铺垫与促进作用。
