一、数词 数词分为基数词及序数词。 1、基数词

(1)基数词的表达：

百： hundred 千： thousand 百万： million

(2)基数词一般是单数形式，但下列情况，常用复数：

a.与of 短语连用时，不能与具体数目连用，of 后面接不可数名词或可数名词复数，如

hundreds of people 指数以百计的人;b. 表示"年代"，用 in +the +数词复数;

2、序数词

(1)序数词的表达

first —l st second--2nd third--3rd fourth--4th

sixth--6th twentieth--20th twenty-third--23rd

其中lst ，2nd ，3rd 为特殊形式，其它的都是阿拉伯数字后加上th

(3)序数词的用法 a.序数词用于名词前，表示事物的顺序。

例如：The second month of the year is February. 一年中的第二个月是二月。

He is always the first to come to school.他总是第一个来学校。

b.用来表示楼层 例如：He lives on the fourth floor.他住在四楼。

c.通常前面要加定冠词 the ；但是如果序数词前有物主代词(his, her …)、指示代词(this, that …)等修饰时，则不必在用the 。

on the second floor 在二楼 on his tenth birthday 在他十岁生日这天

d.基数词也可以表示顺序。只需将基数词放在它所修饰的名词之后(名词需大写) 即可，不需要添加定冠词。

3.时间的表达

(1)直接表达法

A.

整点o'clock 须用单数，可以省略。

(2)间接表达法

A. 分钟 < 30分钟，past 是介词，意思是“过”。

如： twenty past four 四点二十 eight past one 一点八分

B. 分钟 > 30分钟，to 是介词，意思是“差”。如： 8:35 可表示为twenty-five to nine 差二十五分钟九点，即八点三十五（其中的分钟数twenty-five 是由60分钟减去35分钟得 到的；钟点数nine 是由8加上1得到的）。

如： 7:15可表示为seven fifteen或者a quarter past seven， 2:45可表示为 a quarter to three

如： 9:30 可表示为 half past nine，3:30可表示为 half past three。

★若表示的时间不够准确，可在时间前加上about，almost等。如：about eight （大约八点）almost two（快到两点）等。

★在具体时间钟点数前面应用介词at来表示在的意思。如：at nine 在九点钟，at about five thirty-five . 大约在下午五点三十五分等。

4.编号的表达

第一课 Lesson One = the first lesson 第六排 Line 6 读作 line six

第307号房间 Room 307 读作 room three zero seven

101路公交车 Bus 读作 bus number one hundred and one

5.年月日的表达

年份：用基数词表示，分两位两位的读，整百后读作hundred，整千后读作thousand

月份及日期：用英语中月份单词，日期用基数词或者序数词表示。读日期前要加定冠词the，写的时候不用写出来。
