Generally make ore washing during crushing and screening. The purpose of washing process is: 1. to prevent blocking: when handling the ore with too much mud and water, it is easy to block the bin, chute, hopper as well as crushing and screening unit,lower their handling capacity; if it is seriously blocked, normal production will not be done, then taking into consideration of ore washing. 2. to obtain concentrate: for some ore, e.g. some deposited manganese ore, apatite, ferric oxide, etc., the useful mineral is concentrated through washing to get qualified product. 3. to improve the quality of product: the limestone for smelting can be washed, removing slime and improving the quality, in order to satisfy the smelting requirement.
