The government bears the obligation to support the public culture development, as well as public facility construction. So, there is a general discussion about the issue that whether it is more important for the government to spend money on art museums and concert halls than on recreational facilities such as swimming pools and playgrounds. Different people have different views. As far as I am concerned, it is more important for the government to spend money on art museums and concert halls than on recreational facilities.

First and foremost, art museums and concert halls are important for the society since people need them to release their art feelings. Artists and audiences also need them to enjoy the catharsis of life and feeling. If you are unhappy, you can go to the museums and concert halls to relaxes yourself. That is why government, as the servant of public service, should guarantee the existence and welling of necessary art facilities.

Another point worth mention, art museum and concert halls are vital places. And because it can improve people’s art knowledge. It is a direct and thrilling to learn experienced in a museum where they can go the concert or go to the art museum on weekends. It is a very convenient way to learn art knowledge. Museum can make otherwise distant and

mundane educational experiences. However, the recreational facilities only can provide people to do exercise in their free time. With the development of science and technology, more and more people do not have much leisure time as before. So the art museums and concert halls are more useful nowadays. On the other hand, if you travel to a new place, the art museums and the concert halls are the first choose to visit. They are stand for where the history and culture of places.

Of course, admittedly, recreation facilities provide people the public place to enjoy the fun in sports. Family may gather together to swim; the children need playground to practice; and citizens need recreation facilities to relax and have fun. That is why the recreation facilities also needed by the citizens and government should pay for it. Although it has numerous advantages by spending money on recreation facilities, all in all, I think building art and museums should take a greater potion in the financial expenditure of government for the importance of them.

In my opinion, although both part are the basic and fundamental hardware if the community is it thrive, and both part call for the investment from the government. I think it is more important for the government to spend money on art museums and concert halls.
