科技英语写作与普通英语写作在不少方面有 着共同之处，因此，尽管作为理工科学生今后 的实际工作中可能涉及到的科技英语写作并不 十分复杂，关键当然是应懂得一定的写作格式、 要能组织好思路并把每个英语句子写正确，了 解一般英语的写作技巧对写好科技文章是有益 处的，所以在此对它作一简要介绍。
3)结束语(conclusion／concluding remarks) 这一部分的作用是总结、概括全文的内容，特 别是列出结论性的几条，得出的结果或值得今后探 讨的问题等。结束语一般比较简短，但也有比较冗 长的。

第一节 英语写作一般知识简介 英语写作大致上可以说涉及两个方面的内 容：第一个方面是语言基础，也就是词法和句 法。特别是词汇的用法及搭配关系一定要熟练 掌握，一些常用句型及语法条文一定要熟记。 其第二步是要努力写出地道的句子(Standard Sentences)。第二个方面是写作的基本理论和 技巧。

3)论述文(argument) 这种文章的作者往往通过批驳别人的观点来说明自己观点 的正确，以便使读者接受自己的观点。科技杂志上的社论、 评论以及学术讨论会上的发言等也可看成是一种论述文。 4)说明文(exposition) 这种文章主要用来客观地说明事物的特点和性能，或阐明 某种观念、原理、现象等，经常采用论证、定义、分类、 比较对比、因果分析方法。由此可知，这是科技论文、教 科书、仪器设备的操作程序、实验报告等所采用的形式， 因此这类文章也称为“技术性的描写文”，我们主要应学会 这方面的写作方法。

2)正文(body) 这一部分是一篇文章的关键内容，一般可分成若 干段落，每一段落都有自己的小主题。在每一段落 中均应注意上面提到的内容的一致性和连贯性。 在正文中应该用事实、论据或实验数据(在科技写 作中尤为如此)来阐明、发挥或论证作者在引言中 提出的主题。

2)连贯性 所谓连贯性，就是要求在一段落中各个 句子都应前后相衔接，同时条理要清楚， 所述之事的次序要合乎逻辑，使人读起来 没有杂乱无章的感觉。

另外，文章中的有关词、句、段可通过相应的转 折语把全段的意思连贯起来。这些转折语可以是 句子连词、并列连词或主从连词。为便于理解， 下面分10类给出。 ①表示举例(example)：for example，for instance，as an illustration，to illustrate， namely，that is，for one thing，a case in point ②表示增补意义(addition)：in addition， furthermore，moreover，and，also，or，too， besides，again，what's more，likewise
1)主题句(topic sentence) 它用来阐述段落的中心思想。在一般情况下，主题句均 处于段落的第一句；有时也可在段落的末尾或其它地方，甚 至可以用含蓄的方式来表示。需要注意的是，英语写作是非 常强调主题句的。 2)论证句(supporting sentence) 论证句又称支持句或次要句，它是用来对主题句作具体阐 述，主要通过列举事实、范例、原因等来阐明中心思想。 3)结论句(concluding sentence) 它用来总结要点、提出供读者思考的一些见解等，同时表 明段落的结束。有时某一段落也可能没有结论句。

4)比较和对照法(comparison and contrast) 这一方法只能在同类事物之间进行。比较只用来说明两事 物之间的类同，而对照则只用来说明两事物之间的差异。 如果两者是截然不同的东西(如计算机和人脑)，仍可找出 其相似之处，那么这种比较就称为“比拟”(analogy)。这一 方面常用的词语有： ①用于比较的词语：similarly，likewise， correspondingly，in the same way，to resemble，to equal，both· and， ②用于对照的词语：to differ from…(in)，to contrast with，to distinguish between，in contrast，on the other hand，not as· as，unlike，while，whereas， alth一、段落 我们知道，每篇文章一般都是由数个段落构 成的，写好段落是写好一篇文章很关键的一步。 1．构成 段落有短有长，短的可能只有一个句子， 长的可能有十多个句子。但不论长短，其中心 思想必须表达清楚。就一般情况来说，每个段 落都应由以下三个主要部分组成。
