Note-writing: An Invitation
I. The following sentences go together to form an invitation. Working in groups of
two or three, put them in the right order and in three paragraphs.
17 March, 2006 Dear Tom,
1.The first person they wish to invite is you, my childhood pal.
2.We’ll be expecting you any time after six.
3.My parents are giving a dinner party to mark the occasion.
4.Imagine, there are already twenty long years behind me!
5.See you then.
6.Next Monday is my 20th birthday.
7.No wonder I feel old!
8.Indeed, all of those 20 years are more or less associated with you.
