Task 1

指出下列名词在句中所做的成分。

1.The world loves nature.

2.Knowledge is power .

3.We Chinese are peace-loving.

连接划线部分充当相同成分的句子并指出其在句中所做的成分。

His job is important. I don’t know about the fact that he is a teacher. This is his job. I don’t like what he does every day.

I don’t like his job. What he does is important.

总结:名词从句的功能相当于名词词组, 它在复合句中能担任、、、等。因此根据它在句中不同的语法功能,名词从句又可分别称为、、和。

与同伴交流学习课本第17-18页的内容找出课文所有包含宾语从句和表语从句的句子。

探究点一: 表语从句

(一)定义:表语从句放在,充当复合句中的。

结构:

The question is who will do it.

It seems that it is going to rain.

引导表语从句的关联词

1.that在表语从句中成分, 意义,省略。

The fact is that he hasn’t yet recover from illness.

The reason why he has to go is that his mother is ill in bed.

2.whether在表语从句中表示,但成分。if 引导表语从句。What the doctor really doubts is whether my mother will recover from the serious disease soon. The question is whether it is worth doing.

3.what 在表语从句中充当________ ______表示_____________________。

The question is what caused the accident.

That mountain is no longer what it used to be.

What he told you was what had been discussed at the meeting.

4.who 在表语从句中充当________ ______表示___ _。

The problem is who could do the work.

My trouble is who (whom) I can turn to.

5.which 在引导表语从句时,常充当________ _____表示。

I read about it in some book or another,but what I don’t know is which (book) it is.

由as if ,as though引导表语从句,表示。句子中的系动词常用look, appear, seem等。It looks as if it was doing to rain.

The young man with long hair looks as if he were a girl.

7.当主句的主语为reason,或者是由why引导的从句时,与它们相关的表语从句用_________,而不能由_______ 引导;because 引导表语从句时只能用于______________________句型中. The reason why I was late was that I missed the train.

I was late. It/That/This was because I missed the train.

8.当表语从句中主语、宾语、表语具备,但是还是要表示疑问含义,可以判断句子中缺少状语,常常用相应的特殊疑问词引导,有why表, when表, where表, how表等。

探究点二:宾语从句

(一)定义:宾语从句放在,充当复合句中的。

结构:

I know who he is .

Our success depends on how well we can cooperate with one another.

I’m afraid I’ve made a mistake.

(二)引导宾语从句的关联词

当宾语从句是陈述句时(包括肯定句和否定句),连词由引导,在从句中成分,意义,在口语或非正式文体中常。

Lin Tao feels (that) his own team is even better.

He said (that) he would like to see the headmaster.

当宾语从句是一般疑问句时,由连词或引导,翻译成,意义,省略。如果从句中含有or或or not时,只能用而不用。

Lily wanted to know if /whether her grandma liked the handbag .

She asked me if /whether she could borrow these books .

Do you know whether he is right or not ?

当宾语从句是特殊疑问句时,由连接代词或连接副词

引导,成分,意义,省略。

Do you know what he said just now ?

I don’t remember when we arrived .

I asked him where I could get so much money .

Please tell me who (whom) we have to see .

Do you know what time the plane leaves ?

Please tell us how many students there are in your school ?
