There is a manual Water Regulator knob located in the ice compartment of the unit. This allows you to adjust the amount of water pumped over the Honeycomb Cooling Media, thus helping to control cooling and humidification levels.When the Water Regulator is set to MIN, the water pump distributes a minimal amount of water to the Honeycomb Cooling Media. This results in less water evaporation and reduces the cooling effect.When the Water Regulator is set to MAX, the water pump distributes the maximum amount of water to the Honeycomb Cooling Media. This results in maximum water evaporation and greater cooling performance.Do not mix old and new batteries.Do not recharge the battery.Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the product and safely disposed of as per local regulations.Do not dispose of batteries in fire. Batteries may explode or leak.WARNING: Caution for ingestion of the small battery. Keep away from children and animals. t t t t FILLING WITH WATERCOOLER LOCATIONCAUTION:Unplug the unit from the electrical power outlet before emptying or refilling the water tank.Open the Water Fill Door located on the side of the unit.The Water Level Indicator is located at the side of the unit. Refill the water tank when water level is low. Do not fill water above the "Max." water level mark to avoid water droplets collecting on the louvers. Check the water level in the tank before running the COOL function. Make sure that the water in the tank is above the minimum water level mark. Running the unit in COOL mode with inadequate water may cause pump failure.Note: The water capacity refers to the total volume of water that can be contained within the air cooler water tank and water distribution system. The water capacity in the tank at the “Max.” indicator level may be lower than the actual water capacity of the air cooler.Make sure to position the air cooler correctly before you set up and start using the product. Please referto the COOLER LOCATION section of the separate Safety & Maintenance Guide.LOW WATER ALARMThe unit is equipped with a low water sensor. In Cooling Mode, when water in the tank is below the minimum level, you will hear a beeping sound and the will flash continuously. The unit will automatically pause evaporative cooling.Refill the water tank to deactivate the alarm in cooling mode. First switch OFF the unit and unplug from the power outlet. Fill the water tank with water above the minimum water level mark. Plug in and switch ON again.To deactivate the alarm and continue using the unit as a fan (without evaporative cooling), switch the unit OFF and then ON again. The Low Water Alarm will not activate in Fan only mode. The Low Water Alarm will sound again if the COOL function is activated while the water tank is still empty.Note: If ice is available, you may add ice in the top ice compartment to enhance the cooling performance.WARNING: Do not fill water tank with dirty water or salt water. This can damage the unit and Honeycomb media.CLEANING THE CARBON DUST FILTER* AND HONEYCOMB COOLING MEDIA The appliance is supplied with a Carbon Dust Filter* &Honeycomb Cooling Media.The Carbon Dust Filter* and Honeycomb Cooling Media are located inside the Rear Grill. See Figure 1 for instructions on how to remove them from the unit for cleaning and maintenance.Do not run the unit in COOL mode with stale water in the tank. You must empty the water tank and refill with fresh water, especially if the tank has not been cleaned in a long time.The cleaning frequency for the Honeycomb media depends on local air and water conditions. In areas where the mineral content of water is high, mineral deposits may build up on the Honeycomb Cooling Media and restrict air flow. Draining the water tank and refilling with fresh water at least once a week will help reduce mineral deposits. If mineral deposits remain on the Honeycomb Cooling Media, the media should be removed and washed under fresh water. The media should be cleaned every two months or sooner, depending on your needs.For best results allow the Honeycomb Cooling Media to dry after each use by turning off the cool function 15 minutes before turning the unit off.t t t t t Figure 1:Remove all the screws from the Rear Grill of the Air Cooler.Carefully pull out the rear grill from the cooler.Slide out the Carbon Dust Filter* and clean with water.The Honeycomb Cooling Media is secured on the Honeycomb Frame by a Horizontal Bar that is fixed in place by two screws. Remove these two screws torelease the Horizontal Bar and slide the Honeycomb out of the frame.Replace or clean media with water and a damp cloth as needed.WARNING: DO NOT operate the Air Cooler when the Rear Grill or Honeycomb Frame is removed from the Air Cooler, or if there is a loose-fitting Rear Grill orHoneycomb Frame. Doing so can cause serious injury or dangerous electrical shock.1.2.3.4.5.Removing the Carbon Dust Filter*/ HoneycombCooling Media:Honeycomb Cooling MediaFrame*Applicable for models with Carbon Dust Filter only.CLEANING & DRAINING THE WATER TANKWARNING:Before cleaning the unit, switch the unit OFF and disconnect from the electrical socket.Below are instructions on how to clean and maintain your air cooler. This will be the same temperature that will be found in the reservoir.Off-Line Recirculation Cooling Loop: Desired temperature is the oiltemperature entering the cooler. In this case, the oil temperature change must be determined so that the actual oil leaving temperature can be found. Calculate the oil temperature change (oil T) with this formula: Oil T = (BTU’s/HR) / (GPM Oil Flow x 210).To calculate the oil leaving temperature from the cooler, use this formula: Oil Leaving Temp. = Oil Entering Temp – Oil T.This formula may also be used in any application where the only temperature available is the entering oil temperature.Oil Pressure Drop: Most systems can tolerate a pressure drop through the heat exchanger of 20 to 30 PSI. Excessive pressure drop should be avoided. Care should be taken to limit pressure drop to 5 PSI or less for case drain applications where high back pressure may damage the pump shaft seals.Oil TemperatureTypical operating temperature ranges are:Hydraulic Motor Oil 110°- 130°F Hydrostatic Drive Oil 130°- 180°F Bearing Lube Oil 120°- 160°F Lube Oil Circuits110°- 130°F5234O i l P M u l t i p l i e rOil Pressure CorrectionC M A /F l o d y n e /H y d r a d y n e ▪ M o t i o n C o n t r o l ▪ H y d r a u l i c ▪ P n e u m a t i c ▪ E l e c t r i c a l ▪ M e c h a n i c a l ▪ (800) 426-5480 ▪ w w* P ublished electrical ratings are approximate, and may vary because of motor brand. They also have the following advantages:1. Energy-saving: Up to 80% or more when compared to traditional air-conditioners2. Environment protection: No discharge of hazardous substances and foam free during its operation3. Efficient: Achieving the maximum cooling and purifying effect with minimum power consumption4. Easy to mobilize and maintainEvaporative air coolers use the evaporation process for the production of cooler and cleaner air. The continuous water flow from the pump disperses water onto the media (cooling pads). The warm air passes through the intakes over the wet media, which is a honeycomb-type filter layer made of compressed cardboard material. The movement of the wind over the water creates the process of evaporation, giving you cooler and cleaner air.Principle DiagramHot airWater pumpCooling PadsAir-blowerCool airⅡ Main SpecificationsⅢApplicationsEvaporative air coolers serve several purposes for areas including: air circulation, cooling, and air purification. Niagara WSAC systems are used in power, process, refinery, wastewater, natural gas and petrochemical industries and are designed to meet customer’s rigorous industry specifications. Benefits•Produces coldest possible process outlet temperaturethrough single approach to ambient wet bulb temp.•Low quality water can be used as makeup. When utilizing existing blowdown or wastewater streams, no additional fresh water is required.•Increased water conservation due to higher concentration cycles with minimal makeup and blowdown.•No plastic fill means minimum fouling and ensures 100% prime surface for reliable operation.•Remote basin (surface mounted tank or undergroundsump) for spray water collection and storage allows forlighter weight installation on elevated structures.•Long service life and minimal maintenance required inrugged industrial settings due to durable materials andsimple design.Working principleThe closed-loop design ensures that the process liquid or vapor flows through the inside of the heat exchanger tubes, with the cooling air and the spray water flow in the same direction on the outside of the tubes.Air is induced downward over the tubes. Water flows downward along with the air. Heat from the process stream is released to the cascading water. Vaporization transfers heat from the cascading water to the air stream. The air stream is then forced to turn 180º providing maximum free water removal. Fans discharge air vertically at a high velocity to minimize recirculation.Unique featuresDesignsAlfa Laval Niagara WSAC systems are engineered-to-order to provide optimal performance for each unique application. Thanks to Alfa Laval’s unique WetSurface and FlexWater technologies, a WSAC system offers better cooling performance, lower operating costs, smaller installation footprint and lower maintenance requirements than a traditional cooling solution, such as a cooling tower plus heat exchanger or an air-cooled heat exchanger.Operating principleAn Alfa Laval Niagara WSAC can be used for liquid and gas cooling, as well as condensing duties.The WetSurface technology used in a WSAC system is based on evaporative cooling. The hot process medium flows through prime surface tube bundles that are sprayed with water. The heat causes the water to evaporate and the vapour is removed by fans that draw cool air over the tubes.The water that does not evaporate is collected in a basin and is reused as spray water. The same cooling water can be reused 6-10 times, depending on water quality.Next, the air/water vapour stream is forced to make a 180° turn, which effectively removes free water droplets and minimizes drift.An Alfa Laval Niagara WSAC is a closed loop system, meaning there is no risk of contaminants entering the process stream.Unique technologyTubes with a hot process medium are sprayed with water. As the waterevaporates, heat is rejected from the process medium.Fully customizedBenefitsALOnsiteGlobal, onsite service by skilled engineers.WetSurfaceMaximum cooling efficiency and lowest possible outlet temperature.FlexWaterA WSAC can operate on recycled water of low quality such as blowdown water.HybridCoolCombined wet and dry bulb cooling for minimized water consumption.Lowest process fluid outlet temperatureWetSurface technology gives the system a single approach to the wet bulb temperature, thereby lowering the output temperature of the process fluid more than is possible in cooling tower systems. Compared to a traditional (dry) air-cooled heat exchanger heat transfer is much more efficient in a WSAC, resulting in a more compact system, lower outlet temperature and lower power consumption.Minimal water consumptionA WSAC system can operate with higher cycles of concen-tration than cooling towers, i.e. the cooling water can be reused more times, and water of low quality, such as blowdown water from a cooling tower, treated wastewater or seawater can be used as makeup water. This means that water costs are significantly lower for a WSAC.All Alfa Laval Niagara WSAC systems are custom-designed according to our customers’ specifications and are fine-tuned to fit the requirements and conditions of theirintended duties. They come in all sizes from small packaged units to large field-erected systems.Alfa Laval can supply HybridCool systems with sectionsfor both dry and wet cooling, allowing operators to choose operating mode depending on ambient temperatures. Theunits can also be designed to cool several separate process streams independently.Packaged WSAC systems• Compact, skidded, pre-piped and pre-wired units, complete with control cabinets • Factory tested• Plug-and-play units, fast and easy installationModular WSAC systems• Medium-sized systems ideal for expanding capacity• Casings made of heavy-gauge steel • Delivered in pre-fabricated modules that are easily assembled on siteField-erected WSAC systems • Our largest systems• Concrete basin with overlying structure made of fibre-reinforced plastics (FRP) or concrete• Lowest total cost of ownership for high-capacity cooling/condensingAlfa Laval WSACs are engineered to meet heavy-duty indus-trial requirements and standards. They are fireproof, can sustain pressures up to 170 bar (2,500 psi) and be designed to meet ASME, TEMA, PED and API specifications.All components are made of hot-dip galvanized steel for high corrosion resistance. For applications with corrosive media, the tube bundles are offered in a variety of materials, forexample different grades of stainless steel, super duplex and titanium.Comparison with other technologiesAlfa Laval Niagara WSAC systems produce the coldest possible process outlet temperature compared to other technologies. Other WSAC advantages are shown in the table below. In this example the dry bulb air temper-ature is 37.7°C (100°F) and the wet bulb temperature is 26.1°C (79°F).Practical approach temperature 5.6°C (10°F)8.3°C (15°F) in total, 5.6°C(10°F) for CT and 2.7°C (5°F)for heat exchanger8.3°C (15°F)Coldest practical process temperature31.7°C (89°F)34.4°C (94°F)46.1°C (115°F) Water consumption Low-medium High Not applicable Electrical consumption Low Medium HighSpace requirements Small Medium-large LargeTotal system cost Low-medium Medium Medium-high Maintenance Low-medium Medium-high LowAn Alfa Laval Niagara WSAC is designed and built for minimal maintenance and all components are easily acces-sible. The water spray system is reached from the top and, unlike cooling towers, there is no tower fill where dirt and fouling can accumulate. The tubes are placed with enough space for airborne debris to fall through the bundle, down to the basin where it is filtered out in a pump screen.WSAC systems can be designed to handle highly fouling media and by removing the header, the tubes are acces-sible for cleaning.Alfa Laval offers support for all types of service on WSAC systems. Our experienced field service technicians are available 24/7. We are glad to help with assistance during installation and commissioning, optimization of perfor-mance, training of operators, etc.Service。

影响冷却水质,经此工艺加工后的水室内表面,能长期缓解水气腐蚀、冷却水体流动及水体内所含杂质对水室内表面的冲刷撞击,彻底解决了因水室内表面涂漆层脱落、水室内表面生锈等不利因素影响冷却水质的问题;
3-2);
3.3两块侧板与左右管板连接形成空冷器主体,侧板主梁采用国标等边角钢设计制造,(可根据电站实际安装需要,在侧板
主梁上钻出一定数量的把合孔,便于空冷器主体与定子及相关设备部件连接并密圭寸);
