关于提高英语交流能力的作文大学生**英文版:**As university students, we often find ourselves facing a daunting task: improving our English communication skills. With the increasing globalization of the world, English has become an essential tool for success in today's interconnected world. However, many students struggle with effective communication in English, which can hinder their academic and professional development.Firstly, we need to recognize that effective communication is not just about knowing the language, but also about understanding cultural differences and being able to adapt to different communication styles. Therefore, we should take advantage of opportunities to engage in real-life conversations with native speakers to improve our pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar. Secondly, it is essential to practice regularly and consistently. Building language skills takes time and practice, so it is vital to schedule regular language practice sessions, such as joining an English conversation club or taking an online language exchange program.Thirdly, we should seek feedback and use it to improve our communication skills. Feedback from native speakers or teachers can help us identify areas that need improvement and provide guidance on how to improve them.Lastly, we should be confident in our abilities and approach English communication with a positive mindset. 关于提高英语交流能力的作文大学生全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1Improving My English Speaking SkillsHi there! My name is Emily and I'm 10 years old. I love learning new things, especially when it comes to languages. English is one of my favorite subjects in school because it opens up a whole new world of books, movies, and friends from different countries! When I was younger, I found English to be really difficult. All those crazy spelling rules and weird pronunciations just didn't make sense to me. But as I've gotten older and practiced more, it's become much easier. I've even started helping my parents and younger siblings with their English homework sometimes! One of the biggest challenges I had was speaking English with confidence. I would get so nervous about making mistakes that I would just clam up and not say anything at all. My teachers started encouraging me to participate more in class and not worry so much about being perfect. They reminded me that themost important thing is to practice speaking, even if I made some errors along the way. That was really great advice! Once I started trying to speak up more, English became way less intimidating. My teachers and classmates were really supportive when I stumbled over my words or used the wrong tense. They would gently correct me so that I could learn from my mistakes. I also started reading out loud at home to build up my pronunciation skills.Another thing that's helped me a ton is watching movies and TV shows in English. At first, I had to rely pretty heavily on subtitles to understand what was going on. But eventually, I got to the point where I could follow along without them. Hearing English spoken in a more natural way has made it much easier for me to pick up on slang, idioms, and conversational language that you don't always get from textbooks. My parents have also been amazing at encouraging me to practice my English. We've started having "English-only nights" where we can only communicate in English, even if it's just talking about our day or what we want for dinner. It's a fun challenge that keeps my skills sharp. Sometimes we'll go out and I'll try ordering for the whole family at a restaurant to get some real-world practice. One of the coolest things about learning English is that it's opened me up to a ton of new friends, both in my community and online. Since English is such a widely spoken language, I've been able to connect with kids from all over the world. We chat about our favorite books, movies, video games, you name it! Getting to put my English skills to use while making new friends has been an awesome experience.Of course, I still have so much more to learn when it comes to English. There are always new vocabulary words to master, tricky grammar rules to figure out, and opportunities to step out of my comfort zone. But looking back on how far I've come makes me really proud. With regular practice and a positive attitude, I know I can continue improving my English speaking, writing, and comprehension skills. For any of my fellow students out there who are learning English, my advice would be: Don't be afraid to make mistakes! Embrace the awkward moments and have fun with the language. Ask questions when you're confused, read lots of English books/movies/shows, and find yourself a conversation partner to practice with. The more you immerse yourself in English, the more natural and comfortable it will become.English is an amazing tool that lets me connect with people across the globe. Mastering it has opened up so many doors for me already, and I can't wait to see where it takes me next. Maybe I'll become an English teacher someday to pass along my passion for languages. Or maybe I'll use my skills to travel the world and make friends everywhere I go. No matter what, learning English has made my world bigger and brighter. If you ask me, that's the best reason of all to stick with it!篇2How to Get Better at Talking EnglishHiya! My name is Charlie and I'm going to tell you all about how to get super good at speaking English. Learning English is really important because it's the language that people use all over the world to talk to each other. If you can speak English well, you can make friends from different countries and travel anywhere you want! The first thing you need to do is practice, practice, practice! That's the most important rule. You can't get better at something without working hard at it. It's like learning to ride a bike - if you don't keep trying, you'll never be able to do it!One really fun way to practice is by watching movies and TV shows in English. That's how I first started learning. My favorite shows are the ones with kids my age as the main characters, like Stranger Things or The Baby-Sitters Club. When I watch those, I can pick up new words and phrases that kids actually use. Sometimes I'll pause and repeat what they just said until I get it right. You can also read books and comics in English. That helps you learn new vocabulary words. If there's a word you don't know, you can look it up in the dictionary or ask someone older to explain it to you. My mom says reading is the key to getting smarter, and I believe her!Another awesome way to practice is by finding a pen pal who speaks English. That means you write letters or emails back and forth to each other. How cool would it be to have a friend living across the ocean that you can share stuff with? You can tell them all about your life, and they can tell you about their life where they live. It's like having a glimpse into a totally different world! If you're feeling shy about speaking English out loud, start off by just talking to yourself when you're alone. Pretend you're giving a speech or putting on a play. Use different voices andmake it fun! The more you practice, the more comfortable you'll get. You can gradually work your way up to speaking English with your family and friends. When you do start conversations in English, don't be afraid to make mistakes. Mistakes are how we learn! If you're confused about something, just ask the person to explain it again more slowly. Most people will be happy you're trying to learn their language. As long as you keep at it, you'll get there. One time, I was at the park and I saw this boy around my age playing by himself. He looked kind of sad, so I went up to him and said "Hi! My name is Charlie. What's your name?" He looked surprised at first, but then he smiled and said his name was José. We couldn't understand each other perfectly, but we ended up having fun playing together anyway. José taught me some words in Spanish, and I taught him some words in English. Now we're pen pals!See, making an effort is all it takes. English is a hard language with lots of crazy rules and exceptions. But if you study hard and don't give up, you'll be speaking like a pro in no time. Then the whole world will be open to you to explore! You'll be able to travel anywhere, read anything, watch anything, and talk to anyone. How awesome is that?Just keep practicing every single day. Even if it's just for a few minutes, that's better than nothing. The more you use English, the easier it will become. And soon, you'll be the one helping others learn it!Alright, that's all the advice I've got for now. Let me know if you have any other questions! Speaking English is the key that can unlock so many amazing experiences and friendships. Don't be afraid to use it. You've got this!篇3English Is Fun! How I Became a Great English SpeakerHi there! My name is Timmy and I'm 10 years old. I really love learning English because it helps me make friends from all around the world. English is such a cool language!A few years ago, I wasn't very good at speaking English. I could read and write okay, but whenever I tried to talk, I would get all tongue-tied and nervous. My English teacher said my pronunciation wasn't very clear either. I felt really frustrated because I wanted to be able to chat with my English-speaking friends and understand movies and TV shows without subtitles. Then one day, my mom signed me up for an after-school English club. I was pretty nervous at first, but the teacher was really nice and made learning English fun with games and activities. We did role-playing exercises where we pretended to order food at a restaurant or go shopping. We also read stories out loud to practice our pronunciation. The best part was that the whole class was just for kids, so I didn't feel embarrassed about making mistakes. We were all learning together! Whenever I messed up a word, my classmates didn't laugh at me. And my teacher always corrected me in a kind way, without putting me down.As I kept practicing my English at the club every week, I started feeling a lot more confident. My pronunciation got better and I built up a bigger vocabulary. Pretty soon, I could understand almost everything during our activities without getting confused. My teacher also shared some great tips with us on how to improve our English outside of class:Watch shows/movies in EnglishWatching shows and movies in English is so much fun! It's a way more entertaining way to learn than just reading from atextbook. Whenever I heard a word I didn't understand, I wrote it down to ask my teacher about it later.Listen to English musicSinging along to English songs is an awesome way to practice your pronunciation and spoken English. My favorites are by Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran because they enunciate really clearly. As I learned the lyrics, I picked up lots of common English phrases and expressions too.Find English reading buddiesMy English teacher introduced me to a free app where I could find reading partners to practice my conversational skills. I got matched up with students from the United States, Canada, and England. We would read short books together over video chat and then discuss them. My reading buddies were super nice and corrected me when I made mistakes in a friendly way.Keep a listening journalWhenever I watched an English movie or TV show, I wrote down new words, slang, idioms, or phrases that I heard and didn't know the meaning of. Later on, I looked them up in the dictionary or asked my teacher to explain them to me. This really expanded my English vocabulary in a fun way.Don't be afraid to make mistakesThe biggest thing that held me back at first was being too nervous to speak up because I was scared of saying something wrong. But my teacher reminded me that making mistakes is how we learn. Now when I make a mistake in English, I's just correct myself and keep on going! After a year or so of practice using those tips, my English was improving super quickly. I could understand almost everything my English-speaking friends said without them having to repeat themselves or talk slowly. I got way more confident about speaking up in group conversations too.One of the proudest moments was when I watched an English movie for the first time without needing subtitles, and I understood almost all of it! My parents were so impressed with how far I'd come. These days, I make English practice a part of my daily routine.I still take English classes of course, but I also listen to English podcasts on my way to school, watch my favorite YouTubers who create videos in English, and I even started reading novels in English for fun (with my listening journal by my side to jot down new vocab!).My advice for other kids learning English is to not give up, even when it feels hard at first. The more you practice speaking, listening, reading and writing in English, the easier and more natural it becomes. And there are so many cool ways to practice, like watching Netflix, reading comics, or listening to music. Just do whatever English activities seem fun to you!Learning any new language takes time and effort, but it's so worth it when you can start communicating with new people from around the globe. Speaking English has allowed me to make friends from the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, and more. We play online games together, share memes and TikTok videos, and teach each other fun slang words from our countries. It's awesome being part of this worldwide community of English speakers!English is definitely one of the most useful languages to know in our connected world today. Good English skills can open up so many opportunities for jobs, travel, books/movies/media, friendships across cultures, and more. I'm just a kid, but learning English has already expanded my world in the best way.So keep practicing your English every single day. Start speaking it as much as you can, even if you're not perfect. Themore you use it, the more natural it will feel. Soon enough, you'll be an English pro just like me!篇4Improving My English Speaking SkillsHiya! My name is Emma and I'm 10 years old. I love learning English because it's such a cool language used all around the world. Being able to speak English well means I can make new friends from different countries and learn about their cultures. It's like unlocking a secret door to amazing adventures! But you know what? Speaking English can be really tricky sometimes. There are so many weird rules and confusing words. Like why does "read" sound different from "read" depending on if it's present or past tense? That makes no sense to me! And don't even get me started on idioms like "raining cats and dogs." Who came up with that?Despite the craziness of English, I've been practicing really hard to get better. My parents say that improving my English will open up lots of opportunities for me in the future. They're always encouraging me to read books, watch movies, and listen to music in English. It's honestly quite fun once you get used to it!One of my favorite ways to learn is by joining the English club at school. We play all sorts of cool games and activities that trick us into practicing without even realizing it. Last week, we did a fun skit where we pretended to order food at a restaurant. I was a little nervous speaking in front of everyone, but my friends cheered me on. By the end, I felt like a pro!My English teacher, Ms. Roberts, is also super awesome. She uses lots of hand motions and funny voices to help us remember vocabulary. Whenever I'm confused about something, she always takes the time to explain it in a way I can understand. I'm so lucky to have such a caring teacher. At home, my parents make me practice English every day by doing things like describing my favorite toys or telling them about my day at school. In the beginning, I'd get frustrated because I couldn't find the right words. But they never got impatient with me. They'd gently correct me and encourage me to keep trying. Their support means the world to me.Sometimes, my older brother helps me too, especially with pronunciation. He's basically fluent since he's been studying English for so much longer than me. He loves teasing me about my accent, but I don't mind. I think it's cool that I can incorporateEnglish words and phrases into my everyday conversations, even if I don't always get them perfect. The hardest part about learning English is probably building up the confidence to speak without feeling shy or embarrassed. When I first started, I was so anxious about making mistakes that I could barely get any words out. But the more I practiced, the more comfortable I became. Now I'm not afraid to just go for it, even if I stumble here and there. My biggest advice to anyone wanting to improve their English would be: don't give up! Learning a new language is super hard, but it's an amazing skill that will help you in so many ways. If you stay dedicated and have fun with it, you'll be speaking like a pro before you know it.Just look at how much my English has improved already. A couple of years ago, I could barely put together a basic sentence. But now I can understand movies, read chapter books, and have full conversations without getting too stuck. I'm so proud of the progress I've made!Of course, I still have a long way to go before I'm completely fluent. There are so many advanced words, expressions, and grammar rules that boggle my mind. ButI'm not letting that stop me. Every day, I'm working hard, steping out of my comfort zone, and taking on new challenges. Nobody becomes an expert overnight, but if you chip away at it bit by bit, you're unstoppable! My biggest dream is to one day be able to travel the world and communicate with people from all over. How cool would it be to order street food in Thailand using perfect English? Or chat with a new friend from Brazil about our favorite books and movies? With English skills on my side, the possibilities are endless. So to all my friends out there learning English, keep working hard and believe in yourselves! If a 10-year-old dork like me can steadily improve, you can too. It might feel impossible now, but I promise it will start clicking eventually. Just don't give up! Being bilingual is an incredible superpower, and you're well on your way to joining the club.Okay, I think that's enough from me for now. Thanks for reading my essay! I'm off to watch some English cartoons and learn some new phrases to impress my friends. Catch you later!篇5How to Get Better at Speaking EnglishHello friends! Today I want to tell you all about my big journey to becoming a better English speaker. It's been quite an adventure! When I started university, I knew a little bit of English from primary school, but not that much. I could understand somewords and phrases, but I didn't feel confident speaking it at all. Whenever I tried, I would get all tongue-tied and nervous. My palms would get sweaty and my heart would race. Speaking English felt really scary! But then I realized that being able to communicate well in English is super important, especially at university and for getting a good job later on. So many of my classes had textbooks and materials in English. A lot of the best websites and videos were in English too. I knew I had to get better at it.The first step on my journey was to build up my vocabulary. I started using flashcards and apps to learn new words every single day. Whenever I came across a word I didn't know, I would write it down to study later. I put sticky notes with English words all around my room too. Little by little, my word power started growing!Next, I knew I needed to practice listening to and reading English as much as possible. I started watching movies and shows in English, first with subtitles and then without them. I read children's books and comic books in English. I listened to English podcasts and audiobooks. At first it was really hard to follow, but I kept at it. Slowly but surely, my ears and eyes got used to the rhythms and sounds of English.Speaking was the hardest part though. I was still afraid to open my mouth in English! My amazing English teacher Ms. Roberts helped me so much with this. First she had me just repeat words and phrases out loud after her. Then we did easy question-and-answer drills. Step-by-step, she guided me until I could hold basic conversations.Ms. Roberts also encouraged me to join the English Conversation Club on campus. I was nervous at first, but everyone there was so welcoming and friendly. We played games, discussed topics, and did fun activities - all in English! Making friends who were also learning helped me feel way more comfortable practicing my speaking.Probably the biggest breakthrough for me was when I spent a summer in England through a study abroad program. Being fully immersed in the English language for weeks on end made a huge difference. I had no choice but to use it constantly to communicate. It was challenging at times, but so rewarding too. My confidence just took off. These days, I feel like a total English pro! I can express myself clearly, understand lectures and readings, make new international friends, you name it. I'm grateful for all the hardwork I put into improving my skills. It was a long journey with many steps, but it was worth every ounce of effort. So if you're struggling with English like I once was, don't get discouraged! Just take it step-by-step and practice as much as you can. Use all the resources around you - books, movies, teachers, clubs. Put yourself out there and don't be afraid to make mistakes. The more you immerse yourself in English, the more it will stick.Speaking a new language opens up so many amazing opportunities in our connected world today. It's like getting a golden key to understanding different cultures, accessing better jobs, and making new friends everywhere you go. So learn English and see where it takes you on your own big journey! Those are my tips for now. Let me know if you have any other questions! Thanks for reading, and happy language learning!。

Some people seem to think it is for practicing grammar rules and learning lists of words, longer the words the better. That’s wrong. Language is f or the exchange of ideas, for communication.Use all your senses to learn English. You must hear English, read English, touc h English, smell English, and taste English. Feel English with your heart. Immerse y ourself in this language. Begin to think in English.Nowadays, most people know English is very useful. As an international language English is an important tool to communicate with different people in different countries. With developing of the modern society, and the improvement of transportation and communication tools, the world has become a global village in the 21st Century. There is no doubt that English is one of the world's most widely used languages. People use a language in one of three ways: as a native language, as a second language, or as a foreign language. People study oral English so as to make oral communications, so this order of importance of oral English study should be followed: Fluency, Accuracy, and Appropriateness. That is to say, we have to pay more attention to practical communicating ability instead of only laying emphasis on the grammatical correctness. Paying more attention to phrases and small words as one major shortcoming of Chinese English (especially Chinese oral English) is that Chinese students tend to use big words in their oral language, but the idiomatic oral English is abundant with short, active and vivid phrases. And most of such phrases are made of small words. Oral English has its own features, but it is closely combined with other aspects of English, for example, writing and reading may make oral English precise and accurate.I have not so many chances to practice my oral English in my class so that I should create the environment of learning English by myself. Sometimes I read a novel, after the read I will make a dialogue, although it is really weird. Certainly, I am not crazy about doing that. It is only at some spare time or boring time that I will practice what I mentioned above. I do not belong to that kind of person who is not taking others' opinion into consideration, so I won't speak out in English when there are many people around me just for practicing. At pressure time, reading wonderful novels and some beautiful expressions, sentences structures, and learn from people’s different views toward life is a good method , sometimes reading some not-so-well-written articles not only because we can try our best to find the mistakes which are made in the article. At the same time, we also can make sure that we won't make the same mistakes in the future, alsobecause we can gain some very particular viewpoints toward the society and diverse experience of people’s life.Color words contain a lot of deep meanings, implies a different ethnic feelings. If we take into account the impact of cultural differences, we will have a better understanding of the implicit meaning of color words. The significance of this thesis is to enable us have a proper way to face with the color words, in order to enhance communication skills and avoid conflict of different cultures.2The Significance of Oral EnglishMaybe people don’t know other languages, but it is said that English has become the language of international trade and transport. If you know English, you can travel all around the world. Many people traveling from one country to another use English to talk with others. A lot of ships on the oceans call for help by radio in it. According to the recent report, about 60 percent of the world's radio broad casts and 70 percent of the world's mail use English. At international sports meets, English is the language most commonly used and the most widely used. With the ability of listening, speaking, reading and writing, speaking is the most practical and useful method which one tends to be the weakest one of the majority of English learners. Because the time is limited, learning English at school, either to the students or to other social groups, the improvement of oral English is close-linked to daily life. Apart from theoretical knowledge, English learners should put emphasis on the oral training under the lead of the system. The social need of English language professionals increase greatly. Therefore, how to improve oral English seems to be a big problem that learners need to address.2.1English generally impacts our lifeWith the developing of society, we can see the English words everywhere. Whenever we go there are a lot of billboards are wrote in English. Foe example, we can see the toilet in public which wrote in English use “WC”. In the street, some clothes’ brands wrote by “Nike” “Adidas” and so on. There also have so many shops’ name like “KFC” “XXX Hotel”. With the launch Expo, more and more foreigners come to China, people learn English so that they can express their friendly. So it is very important for us to lean Oral English well. We can talk with foreigners and introduce Chinese history for them.2.2English generally impacts our productionNowadays, a lot of factories produce the goods to seal to the foreign country. They must ask some people who understand the English to search the people in the foreign country want to import their goods. Just like foreign tread. People not do the business in their own country any more. It is a good way to expand their business. And at the same time they can earn the both win.3The Present Situation of College S tudents’ Oral English LearningAs we all know, there are four skills in English study, namely, listening, speaking, reading and writing. And they are so closely related to one another. Now most of the students do better in reading and writing English than in listening and speaking. They can read and write, but most of them have some troubles to communicate. They can hardly express themselves with their own words. The purpose of school English teaching is to improve the students with these four skills. Large vocabulary and good grammar are the base of the necessary phonetics. But this is not the final purpose. The final purpose is to let students be able to use the language freely.Chinese students study English from primary school, some even from the kinder-garden. Through middle school to university, teachers and students have paid enormous painstaking care, but English teaching just cultivates the students who are suitable to take the exam and written English. At present, the phenomenon of “deaf English, dumb English” is still serious, there are still many university students whose oral English is poor although they have passed CET-4 or CET-6. Some are poor in sp eaking, some in listening, while some in both. They can’t express themselves fluently and they do not know how to.3.1The present situation3.1.1Lack of a good English environmentFor the impatient learners who would like to build Rome over night. Find a native language environment and live in such surroundings for two or three years and your English will naturally improve. But how can this be possible for the mass of learners who have absolutely no such access? Without any question, English environment is very important for the students to learn foreign language, but most Chinese students lack such good environment. They are learning English in a Chinese environment. At the same time, the English that we have learnt is traditional English, but native English speakers, they say Idiomatic English is in their daily life.3.1.2Lack of diligenceSome students don’t like learn English because some of them are not have a good foundation. So they don’t want to listen to the teacher in the class. A lot of English teachers are no t lively when they talk to their students so that they can’t attract them successfully. Of course, the most important reason is that the students are not work heard enough. Some time, they always pick flaws from their teachers, but never find their own mis takes. When they can’t finish the homework they complain their teacher,, they think the homework is so heard that they can’t finishit. They always complain the English words are so long that they can’t remember them.3.1.3Lack of a good wayStudents learn Eng lish in the class and follow the teachers’ methods to learn. It is not enough. We should find a way that is fit for us. Everyone has his own opinion and others’ are not suitable for you necessarily. There are so many ways to lean English well that you can choose some of them which are fit for you.3.2College students’ problems in oral English learningStudents are afraid of speaking out. Everybody hopes he can speak fluently English. But they are afraid of making mistakes when they speak English and being laughed at by the other people. Therefore they have no courage to speak. We need overcome our fear and speak loudly. Don’t worry about the mistakes. Some students repeat single sentences and cannot be process of leaving oral English. For example, if someone be asked: “How are you?” most of students, even some college students will answer: “Fine. Thank you. And you?” In fact, there are many ways to answer this question, just like: “Terrific”, “Good”, “Not bad” and so on. So try to express one meaning in various ways.As a student who has learned English so many years, we have lost a lot of time to remember the words seriously. We just learn them and use them and then we forget them. It is not that they don't know how to use the word to express but they have no idea about which word should be chosen to make their expressions more profound sometimes. The reason is that so many words we have learned and so many means the worlds have. It is self-evident that the process of picking up the ideal word will take some time and another topic will appear, in the other side and certainly the perfect word you choose has no chance of presenting itself. At this rate, the process of picking up the ideal word will repeat all the time. After one round of conversation, you seldom get the chance to practice oral English.4The Ways to Learn Oral English Well4.1Through English moviesMany famous lingual masters put forward that watching original movies is the best way to learn diomatic English. The master who made a deep study of Chinese-English/ translation and the literature of British and U.S mentioned that in order to strengthen the abilities of speaking and listening, he often stays at home watching original movies. The literature who served as professor of foreign languages at Taiwan University, in his diary he wrote that he got a great deal by watching original movies. Their experiences have showed that watching original movies is the most lively and efficient approach to improve oral English. But how can the masters improve their oral English though movies? The principles of selecting a suitable film for learning are very important. The movie materials’ selection is significant in English learning. There are also many different kinds of films, like comedy, tragedy, science fiction, thriller, documentary, etc. Although there are various kinds of movies, not everyone can be adopted as learning material, and what kind of films is suitable for learning is the key question for learners. Selecting a suitable film is very important for a learner to improve our oral English. However, some modern campus films, love story films, comedy films are good choice, because movies must be quite close to the modern society, so it is the key of choosing movies. And if you can’t understand it you al so can ask them for help.4.3Retelling the textsRetelling the texts is very helpful for improving oral English. It is also can improve students' ability of oral expression. We can do some reading before we have the class, listen carefully and do some marks at the same time. Then we can have a try to repeat the story after the class. We must remember repeat it clearly, confidence and fluency.4.4Expand vocabularyNowadays quite a lot of students still memorize English vocabulary by combing letters, even by marking Chinese pronunciation, which emphasis on spelling isolated letters. Obviously it is useless, also have endless disadvantages. For example, we will reducing passion, killing enthusiasm, etc. As a result, more and more students begin hating English. That is to say, difficulties in memorizing English vocabulary become the biggest barrier in English learning.According to this, since vocabulary is a symbol of the gift of tongues, it is necessary for English learners to grasp the general procedures of memorizing English vocabulary in order to enlarge our English vocabulary efficiently. Thus, we have to raise our awareness of the importance of memorizing vocabulary. So it is necessary for English learners to grasp the general procedures of memorizing English vocabulary in order to enlarge our English vocabulary efficiently. We have a number of choices for encountering new vocabulary. We may find out new vocabulary, either by way of parenthesis or by design. And after coming across and identifying new vocabulary, we usually do not consciously make efforts to recognize them, we may guess or analyze the meanings of the vocabulary through any morphological elements that we have seen before, and associate or create an image of the new vocabulary from sound or form. However, as human beings, our capacity of memory is limited. What is more, our time to memorize vocabulary is limited as well. That is to say, we cannot memorize all the vocabulary that we come across. As a result, we ought to have a selection before we memorize them. Thus, we can classify vocabulary into three levels, and then memorize them according to different situations and demands.4.5Learn how to use the idiomsThe idiom is not easy to learn, easy to understand the confusion . People can properly use English idioms when we communicate with foreigners, they will immediately feel warm and love to communicate with you. So, maybe you know idioms each word, but put them together, you do not know what the meanings of them are.4.6Listening in English classroomHow to improve listening comprehension in a simulative setting has always been a problem which challenged English teachers. Teaching in target language, of course, is the most direct way. In so many ways teachers become the language model for students to learn from. They have to ensure that in class students are given enough authentic materials and practical chances. There are many factors affecting students’ listening comprehension. Listening comprehension is a complicated processing. “Interest is the best teacher”. You are becoming an adult! That means you have to take care of yourself and get along with all sorts of new people. Having good social skills is super important for college students. In college, you will meet lots of new people from different places. Some will become your friends and others you just have to get along with for group projects and activities. You can't just be shy and quiet all the time. You need to practice talking to new people and making friends. The friends you make could end up being your friends for life!College is also when you start preparing for your future job. Most good jobs require you to work as part of a team and communicate clearly. Employers want to hire people who can listen well, contribute ideas, and get along with others. The socialskills you develop in college will make you a better employee later on.Good social skills don't just mean being friendly and talkative though. You also have to learn how to work through disagreements in a calm way. When you have group projects, not everyone will agree on everything. You have to practice compromising and hearing each other out. That's a really important skill for life.Another big part of social skills is learning to manage your emotions. When you feel angry, frustrated or sad, you can't just throw a tantrum like a little kid. You need to express yourself in a mature, respectful way that doesn't hurt others. Taking deep breaths and using "I" statements are good strategies. In college, you'll also have more freedom and independence than you did at home or in high school. That means you have to take responsibility for your own well-being. Socializing is important for your mental health. If you spend too much time alone, you can become lonely and depressed. Developing social confidence gives you a huge advantage. So in summary, being a successful college student requires excellent social skills. You must be able to make friends, communicate clearly, work through conflicts, manage emotionsmaturely, and prioritize your mental health. The students who master these skills will go on to have amazing careers and lives after graduation. Getting an education is about way more than just books and grades!篇3The Importance of Social Skills for College StudentsHi friends! Today I want to talk about something super important for college students - having good social skills. Social skills are about how you act and communicate with other people. They're really important for making friends and getting along with others in college. In college, you'll meet lots of new people from different places with different backgrounds. Some will become your friends and some might just be classmates. But either way, you'll need to interact and work with them for group projects, study groups, clubs, and more. That's when having good social skills comes in handy! What are social skills? Well, they include things like:Being a good listener when others are talkingIntroducing yourself confidently to new peopleStarting and keeping conversations goingAsking questions to learn about othersGiving compliments and encouragementWorking together as part of a teamHandling disagreements in a calm, polite wayYou see, just being smart and studying hard isn't enough in college. You also have to know how to cooperate, communicate, and get along well with your classmates, professors, and everyone else on campus. That's where social skills make a huge difference!Let me give you an example. Imagine you have to do a big group project that's worth a lot of your grade. If you have good social skills, you'll be able to listen to everyone's ideas, compromise when there are disagreements, assign tasks fairly, and make sure everyone is doing their part. But if you struggle with social skills, people might not want to work with you, there could be a lot of arguments, and it might be really hard to get the project done well.Another example is looking for internships or jobs after college. Employers want to hire people who are not justbook-smart, but who can also communicate clearly, workcooperatively in teams, and get along well with colleagues and clients. Your social skills will really shine through in interviews and work situations.Or what about making friends and having an active social life? College is a great time to meet new people with shared interests. But if you're shy or have trouble starting conversations and connecting with others, you might miss out on some amazing friendships and fun times. The good news is that social skills can absolutely be learned and improved over time, just like you learn other skills in school. Here are some tips:Practice, practice, practice! Join clubs and attend social events to meet new people.Ask questions to keep conversations going when they start to dwindle.Make eye contact and have a friendly, open body language.Listen closely when others speak instead of just waiting for your turn.Be kind, compliment others, and avoid negativity.Don't take things too seriously - keep conversations light and fun.Watch others who have great social skills and learn from them.I know it can feel awkward or scary at first to work on your social skills, especially if you're more on the shy side. But keep practicing and it will get easier, I promise! Just think how much more fun and successful your college experience will be when you become a confident "people person."In the working world after college, strong social skills will also help you so much. You'll be able to network and make useful connections. You'll work better in teams. You'll communicate more clearly with coworkers, managers, and clients. Doors will open simply because you make a great impression and people genuinely enjoy interacting with you.So don't underestimate the importance of social skills, my friends! Along with hitting the books hard, make sure to also focus on building these invaluable life skills. Your future college self and future working self will thank you for it! Social skills unlock so many opportunities and make everything – studying, working, making friends – simply better and more fun.篇4The Really Big Deal About Making Friends at CollegeHi there! Everything is unfamiliar, and you don't know anyone yet. If you have strong social skills, you'll be able to introduce yourself to your classmates, strike up conversations, and make new friends more easily. Good social skills can help you feel more confident, comfortable, and connected in new social situations. But social skills aren't just important for making friends –they're also crucial for your academic success! Don't worry, friends! Social skills can be learned and practiced, just like any other skill. Here are a few tips that can help:Practice active listening: When someone is talking to you, make eye contact, nod, and ask follow-up questions to show you're engaged and interested in what they're saying.Observe body language: Pay attention to things like facial expressions, gestures, and tone of voice. These can give you important clues about how someone is feeling and how to respond appropriately.Be a good conversationalist: Ask questions about the other person's interests, experiences, and opinions. Share a bit about yourself too, but don't dominate the conversation.Join clubs or organizations: Getting involved in activities you enjoy is a great way to meet people with similar interests and practice your social skills in a comfortable setting.Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone: Introducing yourself to new people or starting conversations might feel a little scary at first, but the more you practice, the easier it will become.Remember, social skills are like muscles – the more you exercise them, the stronger they'll get!

I try tothink of open-ended questions or share a personal anecdoteto keep the dialogue flowing. In group settings, I make an effort to include everyonein the conversation. I think it's important to be mindful of people who may be more reserved or shy, and to make them feel welcome to join in.I also enjoy using humor in conversations.

Krashen
