1.word substitution 10题*2分（主观作答题）

考查学术词汇中的“正式用词”。从十篇A课文中（不仅仅限于所要求的unit1/2/5/6/8等五篇A课文）摘出含有formal English的句子，要求用普通词汇替换之（反之亦然）。此考点主要是针对课后Task 3所对应的内容。

2 terminology 10题*1分（选择题）

考查学术词汇中的术语(specialized vocabulary)。以statement的形式对限定的五个单元中（包括textA/B/C所涉及的new words and expressions部分以及相关五个单元后面的key terms 部分）出现过的某些术语或概念作解释，要求考生根据所给定的句子选出对应的术语。

题目：An overarching literary theory that encompasses all possible interpretations of a text suggested by its readers.

答案：选出含有metatheory的选项。

3 paraphrase sentences 5题*4分考查学生对课内外句子的理解以及释义能力，材料来源于五个单元的A课文或是课外内容。Sample

题目：The nature of artistic merit is less easy to define than to recognize.

答案可以是：A piece of writing is considered as having artistic merit if it has high quality and some aesthetic value. However, it is hard to define the exact nature of artistic merit because the preferred standards may vary across time and space.
