There are many causes of pollution in our city.

1 Air pollution is a serious problem. Many vehicles and factories cause gas. Smoking is also air pollution and it causes lung cancer 肺癌Air pollution cause the increase of temperature.：['tempritʃə]

How can we prevent air pollution?

we can go by bike,subway or walk instead of by car.

we can plant more trees and flowers instead of building too many buildings

we should let people know the importance of environmental protection by education.

2 Water b ecomes dirty in many ways

Government should make more laws to protect the river.

3 Noise pollution

T he sound of karaoke (卡拉OK) and the sound of all kinds of vehicles are noise pollution. Some people speak loudly in public and it's also noise pollution . In noise environments, most people are easy to get angry and cannot sleep peacefully.

4 The problem of “white pollution”is caused by using plastic bags.Luckily, The government has put a nationwide ban 禁令on the use of free plastic bags and all stores and supermarkets must not provide customers with free plastic bags. we should use cloth bags and shopping baskets .

5 What are the harms of land pollution?

One of the cause of land pollution is garbage .Another is the damage of soil. It could harm our body because harmful chemicals may cause various cancer.

The main thing we can do to prevent land pollution is to reduce waste. That means we should reuse and recycle as much as;possible. Firstly, don't buy heavily packed goods and use our own cloth bags when going to the supermarket. Besides, we should recycle cans, bottles, plastic bags, and newspapers.
