Do you like smiling? I think you should learn to smile .

First, learn to smile at yourself when something unpleasant happens in your life. If you fail an exam or you are misunderstood by your friends, don’t be sad. Just smile at yourself . Smiling at yourself brings back your confidence . Sometimes the one who beats you is not others, but yourself. And smile can also keep you healthy.

Second, learn to smile at others. It will make you communicate better with people. Smiling at others makes yourself happy as well.

In a word, smile is a kind of language belonging to everyone. It passes love and friendship and helps shorten the distance between you and other people. Living with a smile ,every day will be shiny.

Great changes have taken place in our studies since our school began to carry on exploring learning strategies. In the past, teachers kept on explaining the language points in class. We students just listened and took some notes. So we didn’t have enough time to think about problems by ourselves /independently. We had to do much homework after class. But now teachers show the problems to us first, then we discuss them for a while in pairs or groups. We try to find out the ways of solving problems, through which we’ve learnt how to work/ study/ cooperate with others. After class, we can have different activities. For example, we can read books we like, go to the library or surf the Internet for useful information and so on.

In a word, now we are the owners of our study and we’re happy.

Growing up with good books

My dear friends,

Reading is very important. We can get knowledge through reading. It can not only open our minds, but also make us cleverer and happier. Our study can be improved if we read more good books. The more we read, the more we will learn, and the brighter our future will become.

However, some students spend much time in listening to music, watching TV or going on line to play games. It takes much of their spare time. So I would like to suggest that everyone should read more books, especially read classics so that we can spread our Chinese traditional culture to the world.

With the development of the Internet, smart-phones are widely used among people. Phubbers can be seen here and there. While eating with family members or getting together with friends, some are always busy playing with their mobile phones. It has bad effects on the relationship with their relatives and friends. Even worse, wh en some people cross the street, they still concentrate on their mobile phones, which can easily cause traffic ac cidents. Its too dangerous. And others stay up playing games. I think it really does great harm to their health, w ork and study.
