Brief introduction of Rolls-Royce
Rolls-Royce is a manufacturer of the top luxury car, which was founded in 1906 in England. The company founders were Frederick Henry Royce and Charles Stewart Rolls and their car is an excellent representative of the world's top-level cars. Rolls-Royce car is famous for it’s luxury configuration and pure manual production .The luxury materials, exquisite craft and expensive labor costs determine the high price of the car. As its yield is very low, it is a symbol of identity and status that owning a Rolls-Royce car.

The Rolls-Royce logo consists of doubles „R‟ which apparently stands for Rolls and Royce. Though the Rolls Royce logo was simply designed, the name is so powerful that the Rolls Royce logo looks attractive and distinctive. That‟s because „the hyphen‟ symbolizes the partnership or the link between the two founders. “The Spirit of Ecstacy ” or “The Flying Lady” is also an important element of Rolls Royce .

Silver Ghost , which was produced in 1906, is the first famous car of RollsRoyce. “Silver Ghost” was named by the reason that the car makes very low noise when in motion. Besides the elegant appearance, Silver Ghost has the technology ahead of its time. With high engine output power of 36KW, maximum speed 110km / h and durability of continuous traveling 22,500 km, Silver Ghost established the Rolls-Royce’s leading position on the world of automobile.
Silver Shadow
Rolls-Royce in the 1970s produced the most important type , Silver Shadow, in the modern history of the company. Silver Shadow ,sold out up to 34,000 in 16 years, was the largest-selling Rolls-Royce cars by far. Simultaneously it was the last one of Rolls-Royce cars which remained somewhat classic features.
In 1877, Charles Stewart Rolls was born in noble family,and graduated from the university of Cambridge. He was not only personable, but also mastered of driving.
Silver Cloud
In 1955, Silver Cloud became the best-selling automobile on the market. After a series of improvements, Silver Cloud Ⅱ and Silver Cloud Ⅲ came out in succession. Charles Stewart Rolls was born into a miller’s family, in 1863.He worked as a apprentice at an early age,but through efforts he became an electrical engineer of the company at the age of 19.He had a very high mechanical talents, strives for perfection, and designed and manufactured his own car by himself in 1904.
New Phantom
In 2003,the New Phantom, as the latest type of RollsRoyce after being took over by BMW, appeared in the sight of fans around the world. The designers incorporated some features of the 1930s Rolls-Royce cars into the new design, continuing the classic style of Rolls-Royce. Rolls-Royce is no longer part of the United Kingdom, but it will always belong to the world.
Phantom
The era of Phantom comes after Silver Ghost. In 1925, Phantom was produced in both United Kingdom and United States. Phantom Ⅱ and Ⅲ were launched in the next few years. It was in the era of Phantom that RollsRoyce become attached to the British royal. Elizabeth II took the Rolls-Royce in public.
Acquisition by BMW
In 1998, Rolls-Royce owners Vickers decided to sell Rolls-Royce Motors. The most likely buyer was BMW, but BMW's final offer of $571 million was beaten by Volkswagen's $722 million. The situation was tilted in BMW's favour, as they could withdraw their engine supply with just 12 months notice, which was insufficient time for VW to re-engineer the Rolls-Royce cars to use VW's own engines. BMW and VW finally arrived at a solution. BMW bought an option on the trademarks, licensing the name and "RR" logo for $68 million. From 1998 to 2002 BMW would continue to supply engines for the cars and would allow use of the names by VW, but this would stop on 1 January 2003. In order to commemorate the contribution of British Crewe depot, company produced 170 limited edition Silver Angel as a souvenir.
