尼罗河上的惨案读后感

I have been heard of Agatha Christie, the Birthish famous female detective novelists, for a long time. She is a high-producing writer and a excellent dramatist. Her total works include 66 feature-length mystery novels, 15 screenplays, which is second only to Shakespeare. And Chri stie is known as “the Queen of R easoning”. Her representative works are Murder on the Orient Express and Death on the Nile.

Resently , I bought Death on the Nile and spent two days finished reading this novel.

Here is the synopsis of this story:

Linnit Ridgeway, young and beautiful, inherited his father’ fortune , which let Linnt’s best friend--Jacqueline’s fiance , Simon, jealousy. Suddenly, he abandoned Jackie and got marry with Linnit. After Lightning marriage, the Doyle decide to go to a honey-moon in Egypt. Learned the news, a group of people like smelled fishy cat quietly gathered around them. Poirot , a dectective, perceive this journey unusual, so he and

his assistant Race arrived in Egypt, and boarded the ship bound for plot and death.

Not unexpectedly, Linnit died, then her maid—Louis, and the witness, pornographer. The ship hanging over the atmosphere of terror. With the keen observation and excellent reasoning abilities, Poitor find out the murderers are Jeckie and Simon.

When I close the book, there is one question in my mind: what is true love?

From this novel, I realized love is not always bring us to the bright future, only the

true love does!

As one of the character Mrs Allerton shiveredly said:” love an be a very frightening thing”

Jackie at the beginning of the story told Linnit she was crazy in love with Simon, she even said that:”I shall die if I not marry him! I should die! I should die! I should die...” “It …s awful, isn‟t it? this love business gets hold of you and you cann‟t do anything about it.” Because of this distorted love, even her fiance designing a conspiracy to marry Linnet just for Linnet’s fortune, and then kill her, Jeckie was willing to help him.

Just as Jackie said: I must follow my star(Sinmon), even it might be a false star.

Even when their crime was open and it cause three people died. Jackie did no t feel regret and she even care for Simon:” I won‟t commit suicide, because it will be easier for Simon if I‟m standing by.”

At the last seveal chapter, there one couple of true love form Cornelia and compare with Jackie’s distorted love.

Cornelia Robson was with her aunt in this journey, thought she is not rich, she grap any oppotunity to learn and study. So she is an educated thoughtful and innocence girl.

Konwnd Cornelia is a incredible girl not just like a servant to her aunt, Dr. Ferguson, who is a synical man propose to her. Cornelia thought about it carefully, and finally say “yes”.

"And why are you going to marry him?" asked Ferguson furiously. "Simply because he's rich."

"No, I'm not," said Cornelia indignantly. "I like him. He's kind, and he knows a lot. And I've always been interested in sick folks and clinics, and I shall have just a wonderful life with him."

So Cornelia and Dr. Ferguson’ personalities are complementary, and they can learn something from each other in this relationship.

I think the true love is that it can help us grow, it can bring us to the brighter future. However, the false love only lead us to disaster, just like the tragdy cause on the Nile. when one is in the trouble or in the darkness, the other should help him or her to get out of it, instead of let him do the stupid thing or even help him to do something wrong.

In a true and health love, one, expecially women should be independent, thoughtful.

There is no saying that one can not survive without somebody , there is more than romantic relationship in the life we valued. I don’t agree --“the ambition of woman is to inspire love”(女人都希望人爱自己) I think women should creat love and love herselves.

This is a dectective story, I found that the story is so well-knit and dascinating. The most impressive writing techniques is that the quite a few former sentences and plots are correlated with latter which lead to a profound theme.

At the beginning, the "It seems all wrong to me - her looking like that. Money and looks - it's too much! If a girl's as rich as that she's no right to be a good-looker as well. And she is a good-looker. Got everything, that girl has. Doesn't seem fair."
