English Mania

中国有一种新的狂热，是学英语的狂热，听，我们中国学生正在用高声喊叫的方法练习英语。如今，法律规定，中国小孩从三年级起开始学习英文。

China has a new mania. A mania for learning English. Listen ，as Our Chinese students practice English by screaming it. Nowadays, Chinese kids start learning English in the third grade by law.

正如我们所知道的，在中国有一个非常重要的考试叫做高考。这个考试的成绩决定了我们的未来。所以，我们中国学生为了准备这个考试三年里每天学习12个小时，其中成绩的25%是由英语决定的。

As we all know, there is a very important test in China called Gaokao. The score on this one test determines our future. So, we Chinese students study 12 hours a day

for three years to prepare it, and 25% of the grade is based on English.

为什么英语？用一个词来说：机会。有更好的生活、工作。

Why English ? In a single word: Opportunity. Opportunity for a better life,and a job,

但是我想问那么这股英语热是好还是坏呢？

But I want to ask .Is English mania good or bad?

根据最新世界大学排名，最好大学在美国和英国。最好的工作都给了毕业于西方大学的人。所以每个人都想学英语去改变他们的人生。

According to the latest World University Rankings, the best universities are from the U.K. and the U.S. The best jobs go to people who out of the Western Universities So everybody wants to learn English to change their life. .

但是可悲的是，每14天就有一种语言消失，同时，英语是全球语言，其中有关系吗？

But sadly, today, a language dies every 14 days. At the same time, English is the global language. Could there be a connection?

在我看来，和英语有关。我觉得如果每个人狂热于学习英语，这个世界将会只有一种语言和一种文化——英语。像如果赵本山是一个英语狂热者，我们会有那么多优秀的喜剧小品吗？如果爱因斯坦是个英语狂热者，我们将会丢失一个优秀的物理学家

I n my opinion, it’s about English. And I want to remind you that the lots of successful people did not have to have English,. Like Zhao Benshan ,Would we have those good comedy skits? If Einstein was an English mania. We would lose a great physicist.

我不反对学习英语，但是我觉得我们应该重视我们的语言，用它来传播伟大的想法，让世界变得多样性

I am not against English learning; but I think we should mind our language. Use it to spread great ideas. To make the world diversity.
