成立马鞍山铁厂。Ironworks was established in February,1953.
成功轧制中国第一个Φ 840mm车轮。 Chinese first wheel of diameter 840mm was pruduced sucessfully in July,1964. 中国第一条高速线材轧机投产，轧制速度111米/秒。 Chinese first high-speed wire rod rolling mill was put into operation , with rolling speed of 111metera per second in May,1987. 马钢H股和A股股票分别在香港联交所和上海证券交易所上市，为"中国钢铁第一股"。 H share and A share of Masteel, viewed as the first Chinese steel stock, went public in SSE and HKEx separately in Nov,1993 and June,1994. 中国第一条热轧大H型钢生产线投产，年产能60万吨。 Chinese first hot-rolled large production line of H-beam was put into operation in July,1998. 马钢粗钢年产量首次迈上1000万吨平台。 Annual output of Magang rude steel came to 10 million tons for the first time in 2006. 马钢新区500万吨高档薄板生产基地建成投产。 New manufacture base of high-grade thin plate,with annual output of 5 million tons,was completed and put into operation in Sep,2007. 马钢第三条车轮压轧线建成，年产110万件，成为全球最大火车车轮生产商。 The third wheel rolling line of 1.1 million annual output was completed in Nov,2008,and Magang became the biggest train wheel manufacture in the world. 马钢特钢精品基地投产，年产能100万吨，主要为高速车轮、车轴、轴承用钢等。 Quality special steel base of Masteel put into production in Nov,2011,with 1million output per year,and products mainly used for high-speed wheels,axles,and bearings,etc. 马钢成功收购法国瓦顿公司。 Masteel purchased French SAS Walton sucessfully in May,2014.

In the ranking list of twenty biggest steel enterprises of the world, Masteel ranked at No. 16. In 2014, Masteel ranked at No. 8 in the rank of Chinese Top Ten steel companies.
