衔接课时1教案(Teaching plan)

Teaching aims:

By the end of the class, students will be able to:

1.talk about their military training experiences, new school and themselves to improve their speaking skill.

2.improve their learning ability by reading phonetic symbols and words.

pare the differences between junior high school and senior high school.

4.know about our campus culture and our traditional military spirit.

Teaching important & difficult points:

1. How to guide students to use what they have learned to express themselves

2. How to help students read the phonetic symbols better.

Teaching procedure

Step 1: Ask students what they have learned from the seven-day training.

(to guide them to express themselves in English and cultivate their military spirit.)

Step 2: Ask them to talk about their first expression on our school.

(to stimulate their love and pride for our school.)

Step 3: Ask students to do a self-introduction. Meanwhile the teacher can give them some help, such as some useful expressions that may be used while they are talking.

(to improve their speaking ability and help students know each other better.)

Step 4: The teacher introduces the curriculum in high school and the ways to learn English and emphasizes the importance of learning English.

(to help students adapt themselves to the learning life in high school.)

Step 5: The teacher demonstrates the pronunciation of phonetic symbols and relevant words. (to improve students’ pronunciation and spelling skills, and lay a basic foundation for remembering words.)

Step 6: Homework

1)Remember the useful expressions.

2)Recite the introduction of our school.

3)Write a short passage of self-introduction.

4)Practice the phonetic symbols & words.
