单元教学活动1 Listen, look and talk.
“Who can say this in English?” 上课的时候,教师将算术题1+2=3和2+2=4写在黑板上,问学生:
学生肯定会大胆设想怎么说并给出一些说法,只要接近,教师都应该公寓鼓励。
如果有学生说:“One and two is three.” 教师要特别肯定地说:“You are right. How do you know that?” 并故意装作惊讶的样子。
“That‟s so easy. One and two is three. Who can use this pattern to give us some more examples?” 教师鼓励学生说一些加法的算术题。
等学生给了许多例句后,教师要说:“You are all right. Now we have another way to say …One and two is three.‟ We can also say, …One plus two is three.‟ The word …plus‟ means‘加’. You can say, …Four plus four is eight.‟ Do you understand? Now who can use this pattern to give us some more examples?” 教师继续让学生给一些句子。
接着,教师引导学生看着本单元的主图说:“Look! Who can do sums with this picture? You look at the first boy and check what is on his head. Then you look at the second boy and check what‟s on his head. Then you do the sum. Who can have a try?” 教师尽量引导学生认真观察孩子们身上的东西的数量,并用英语说出来。
等大家对加法的概念比较清楚和熟悉之后,教师引导大家看拿橘子的那个小男孩。
教师问:“What does the boy say? What does the boy say ? He says, …Hey! Take away five orange.‟ He has eight oranges. But he wants somebody to take away five oranges. How many orange will he have? Yes, he will have three. So eight minus five is three.” 教师边说边把算术写在黑板上,8-5=3教师特别强调减的说法,“minus”, 然后教师继续说:“Three minus three is zero.” 说着,教师也把算术3-3=0写在黑板上。
给出例句之后,教师鼓励学生编造一些算术题,并用英语表达。
接着,教师用歌谣的方式来调整一下
气氛。
教师带着大家一起说:“Maths is fun. Three, t wo, one. Maths is easy. But we‟re busy.” 说这几句话的时候,教师可以带着大家做几个啦啦队的动作,以鼓士气。
最后,教师引导大家看最下面的图说:“Look! Children here have all got something in their hands. The first girl has got a ball. This boy has got two balls. The third one has got one. And the fourth one has got two. The last boy has got one. Now think it over.” 教师做一个想的手势,说:“How many balls have they got? One + two + one + two + one=seven. How many balls has this boy got?” 教师先指最后一个拿纸盒子的男孩说,然后再说:“How many balls have the monkeys got? Let‟s count. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven. Yes, the monkeys have got seven balls. So the boy has only got two balls in the box. Do you know why?” 教师引导大家看盒子上的一个洞,说:“Oh, there is a hole here. Sorry, The monkeys.
单元教学活动2 Listen, look, point and say.
第二部分是元音字母u在开音节中的读音练习。
读字母u本身的音的单词并不是很多,所以,教师只需带着学生正确地拼读出单词就行。
单元教学活动3 Let’s say.
第三部分从表面上看比较容易,但教师要对每张图稍加一写解释。
教师对学生说:
a)“Look at the first picture. The boy is very naughty(淘气). He first dropped four pencils and
then he dropped another three pencils. How many pencils has he dr opped down altogether?”
学生说:“He has dropped seven pencils.”
b)“Now, let‟s look at the second picture. The clown is playing with the apples. He first dropped
six apples. Then he dropped another two apples. How many apples has he dropped altogether.”
学生回答:“He has dropped eight apples.”
c)“ This monkey gets six bananas already from the tree. But he still wants to have another
banana. How many bananas will he have?” 学生回答:“He will have seven bananas altogether.”
d)“This baby is crying. Do you know why? Because he has nine balls. But the other baby has
taken away four balls. So he is not happy. He is crying. How many balls has the crying baby got?” 学生回答:“The crying baby has got five balls.”
e)“Look, the man has got 10 hats now. Look again. The monkey has got three hats. The
monkeys have taken three hats from the man. How many hats has the man got at first?” 学生回答:“At first, this man has got 13 hats.”
f)“This man is making ice creams. He has got nine ice creams. He has got nine ice creams
altogether. But three boys came to him and they bought three ice creams. How many ice creams has this man had?” 学生应回答:“He has got six.”
练习一些题后,教师对学生说:“It‟s very easy to work out a maths problem. You can try it with your friend now.” 教师鼓励学生自己编一个类似的题,并在最后的时间跟大家一起说一说自己编的题。
单元教学活动4 Count, read and order.
第四部分是一个比较简单的课堂活动。
教师只需提醒学生看老鼠偷奶酪的数量。
教师说:“Look, the mice are stealing away the cheese. Let‟s see how many mice there are. How many pieces of cheeses are stolen away? Which mouse has got the most cheese? Which mouse has got the least cheese?” 最后,教师让学生将老鼠偷奶酪的数量与数字连线。
单元教学活动5 Look, think, draw and say.
第五部分也是算术题的一种模式。
学生比较喜欢自己画一些东西。
等学生画完后,教师要进行适当的展示。
单元教学活动6 Let’s play.
第六部分属于算术游戏。
教师对学生说:“Now let‟s play a maths game. Look at this clown. He is throwing the balls. On each ball there is a number. Please choose a ball in the first. How much do you need to make it 10? For example, if you choose5, then 10-5=5. That is to say you need another five to make it 10. Do you understand?” 学生基本明白意思后,教师对大家说:“Now I want you to work in pairs. One person chooses the number and tells the partner. The other partner will tell the person how much he still needs to make it 10. For example:
A: 1 choose 7.
B: You nee d 3 more to make it 10.”
教师让学生自己练习用这种方式说,最后再检查一下练习的结果。
接着,教师问学生:“You can see some numbers on the ground. Do you know what numbers are missing from 1 to 10? What numbers are missing from 1 to 20?” 学生会说:“1 is missing. 2 is missing. 4 is missing.” 等等。
答案是:1和4。
单元教学活动7 Let’s chant.
第七部分的歌谣需要教师先带着学生把句子读一读,待学生能基本连成句子时再给大家放录音,让他们跟着录音一起说一起说唱。
单元教学活动8 Word total puzzles.
第八部分也是一道算术游戏。
尽管算算术不是很难,但让学生能够用英语表述出来是有一定难度的。
教师应该首先带着大家从1数到20,然后再带着大家将两位数的英文数字表达练习一下,比如,twenty, thirty, forty, fifty, sixty, seventy, eighty, ninety, one hundred. 从发音来说,这些词并不是很难,教师只需让学生会说而已,暂时不需要记它们的拼写等。
在做本游戏的时候,教师要先引导大家看英语字母表,然后再看每个字母下对应的数字。
也就是说,数字代替了英语字母,最后将整个数字相加,看看这个数字有多大。
教师可以这样对学生说:“We have 26 letters here. Under each letter we have a number. Each number is going to replace each letter. For example, ant a (1)+n (14)+t (20)=35, we say ANT is worth 35。
蚂蚁的价值是35.”然后,教师对学生说:“Can you quickly find out the value of each animal on this page?” 教师让学生马上计算出每种动物的价值。
Giraffe=52; snake=50; horse=65; bee=12; hippo=64; elephant=81。
学生算出后,教师问;“Which animal is worth less than ANT?(bee) Which animal is worth more than TIGER?(horse, hippo, elephant)”
教师让学生算完之后对大家说:“Numbers are very useful. We can use the numbers to do many things. This is only an example. Sometimes people use the numbers from 1 to 5 to show the degree of people‟s feelings.
1—very unhappy, 2—unhappy, 3—happy, 4—very happy, 5—extremely happy.”
如果时间不允许的话,教师可以省略此部分的内容。
单元教学活动9 Think and do.
第九部分是一道思考题。
教师可以将这个题留给小组同学进行讨论,也可以留给学生回家作为家庭作业来完成。
学生可以自己编题,采用不同的物体,不同的颜色及不同数量的东西。
比如,I have ten yuan and I want to buy a book. I don‟t know how much the book is. So I give the man 10 yuan and he give me back six yuan. Now I know that the book is four yuan. 当然了,教师要鼓励学生自己编不同类型的题,只要能用英语正确地解释就可以。
教师应注意的地方
本单元全部是有关算术方面的练习和游戏,按照学生的计算能力来说,这些题很容易,但要
学生用英语来表达就会有一定的难度。
因此,教师首先要帮助学生解决计算中所需要的词汇问题,如:plus, minus 及1~100 的英文数字的读法。
基础问题解决了,其他的问题就相对容易些。
课后作业
教师可以把第九部分的活动作为家庭作业留给学生回家思考。
提醒学生下次上课时每个人从自己的家里带一张家庭合影,人数越多越好。
