四六级写作

一、CET4写作概述

教育部和高等学校大学外语教学指导委员会于1999年颁布的《大学英语教学大纲(修订本)》(以下简称《新大纲》)中规定,大学英语教学的目标是“培养学生具有较强的阅读能力和一定的听、说、写、译能力,使他们能用英语交流信息。”

《新大纲》对大学英语四级短文写作水平分别提出如下要求。

能在阅读难度与课文相仿的书面材料时做笔记、回答问题、写提纲,能就一定的话题或提纲在半小时内写出120—150词的短文,能写短信和便条,表达意思情楚,无重大语言错误。

随着《新大纲》的颁布,大学英语四、六级考试对考生写作能力的要求也相应提高。过去四级考试要求考生在半小时内写出篇幅为100词的短文;六级要求在半小时内写出篇幅为120词的短文。采用《新大纲》之后,四、六级考试短文写作试题的考试时间没有变,但是所要求写的短文字数却分别增加到120和150词、明显提高了短文写作的难度。

二、评分原则及标准:

CET4写作为整个四级考试的最后一个部分,满分15分。大学英语四级考试的作文评分标准如下:

1.评分原则

1)大学英语考试作文题采用总体评分(Global Scoring)奖励分(Reward Scoring),而不是按语言点的错误数日扣分。

2)从内容和语言两个方面对作文进行综合评判。内容和语言是一个统一体。作文应表达题目所规定的内容,而内容要通过语言来表达。要考虑作文是否切题,是否充分表达思想,也要考虑是否用英语清楚而贴切地表达思想.也就是要考虑语言的错误是否造成理解的障碍。

2.评分标准

短文写作试题满分15分,评分标准共分五等,(14,11,8,5,2阅卷员可对某一等的作文加或减一分,但不得加或减半分)

14分——切题。表达思想清楚,文字通顺,连贯性较好。基本土无语言错误,仅有个别小错。

11分——切题。表达思想清楚,文字连贯,但有少量语言错误。

8分——基本切题。有些地方表达思想不够清楚,文字勉强连贯其中有一些是严重错误。

5分——基本切题。表达思想不清楚,连贯性差。有较多的严重语言错误。

2分——条理不清,思路紊乱,语言支离破碎或大部分句子均有错误,且多数为严重错误。

此外,如果作文与题目毫不相关,或只有几个孤立的词而无法表达思想,给0分;如果

作文的字数不够,酌情扣l一9分;如果作文的字数写够而段落不够,只能最多给9分。

3.关于实行最低分制的规定

为了促使各院校进一步重视英语写作教学,大学英语四、六级考试委员会决定作文评分采用最低分制。目前确定的最低分为6分,对于达不到6分的作文采用倒扣分的评分办法。例如,对于5分的作文,将考生的考试总成绩减去1分,对于4分的作文,将考生的考试总成绩减去2分,以此类推。如果作文0分,不管其余部分得多少分,整体评分按不及格处理。

Is a Test of Spoken English Necessary?

A test of spoken English will be included as an optional component of the College English test(CET) . Many people believe a test of spoken English is necessary. The reason for this is that spoken English is an important part of the language. Only when a person speaks fluent English can he say he has a good command of the English language. Therefore, a test should be devised to assess students' ability in spoken English.

However, some people take a different attitude towards it. They think that a test of written English is enough and a test of spoken English is unnecessary. They hold that students' ability in English ca~ be measured in e test of written English and a test of spoken English will add to the burden of the students.

In my opinion, every foreign-language-learner should give the first place to listening and speaking, and a test of spoken English will stimulates students to improve their oral English. In a word, such a test is absolutely necessary, and I intend to take it if possible.

11分:

A test of Spoken English will be included as an optional component of the College English test(CET) .Is this necessary? Many people think a test of spoken English is necessary because spoken English is widely used in the everyday life. The purple of learning a foreign language is communication. If we can not speak English, how can he communicate with other people?

Some people think differently. They say spoken English isn’t as important as written English, most science books are written in English. We can't understand the content if we are only good at spoken English. And moreover, sometimes the test of spoken English is not very fair.

The teacher maybe give the marks according to his likes.

Anyhow, I think it is necessary. A test of spoken English encourages the students spend more time practising spoken English after class. It also contributes to written English study. I'll do what I can to study spoken English and practise it in the spare time. I'm sure I'll improve my spoken English.
