英语文化：英国的七个勋章等级

第一档：Companion of Honour （荣誉勋爵）。全世界只有65人，授予对国家有重

要意义并做出突出贡献的人，获得者可在名字后面加CH后缀。比如，霍金教授的名字加头衔是Stephen William Hawking1, CH, CBE, FRS, FRSA，CBE后面会说到，FRS指英国皇家学院院士，FRSA指英国皇家艺术院院士。

第二档：Knight2 Grand Cross or Dame3 Grand Cross of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (GBE)（骑士大十字勋章）。英国骑士授勋系统中的最高级别，获得该头衔者可在名字前加Sir或者Dame前缀，同时在名字后面加GBE后缀，比如，Sir Michael Perry, GBE。

第三档：Knight Commander or Dame Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (KBE or DBE)（骑士指挥官勋章）。过去只授予军队成员，现在也授予科学家、演员等有突出贡献者。获得该头衔者可在名字前加Sir或者Dame前缀，比如，Sir Elton Hercules John和Dame Helen Mirren。

第四档：Commander of the Order of the British Empire （大英帝国司令勋章，CBE）。这个开始就比较多了，但是还是限量版的，全世界只限8960位。比如前面提到的Stephen William Hawking, CH, CBE, FRS, FRSA，说明他先后获得了CBE和CH两个勋章。

第五档：Officer of the Order of the British Empire （大英帝国官员勋章，OBE）。这个就不限量了，达到标准都可以被提名。

第六档：Member of the Order of the British Empire （大英帝国成员勋章，MBE）。

标准同上。

第七档：British Empire Medal （大英帝国勋章，BEM）。某一个行业有不错的事迹就有可能拿到。
