On account of the difference in political system and cultural background, different countries or regions for whether citizens can legally own private guns have different attitudes. In the legal procedure, our American citizens can have personal guns. I insist that citizens can hold personal guns. It takes three reasons as followings.

First of all, according to the constitution of the United States the right of the people to have weapon is inviolable. Americans are endowed with the right of having weapons,and holding personal guns legally are citizen's basic right. The United States once a colony,got national independence after the war of independence. We especially cherish the hard-won freedom. Therefore, in our hearts, gun represents freedom and independence. Gun right has become a god-given right, the most effective way to protect our own rights and interests.

Secondly, In American constitutional thought, our evaluation of the government has been cautious even slightly negative. There is no denying that the government also has the possibility of evil, it is necessary to restrict the power of government. Moreover,the libertarian think people widely with weapons is the foundation of our country. people must have a right to have guns to constraint the behavior of the rulers to safeguard our own rights and freedom.

Finally, in case of any emergency, such as our own lives or property security is threatened while public aid force cannot be achieved in time,we need to rely on guns to implement for violation of a private aid force, so as to protect the lawful rights and interests of our own. On balance, as a citizen of the United States, I am glad that I can legally own private guns.
