强化周6级听力test2听力原稿
Section A
11. M: Please buy two packs of cigarette for me while you are at the store. W: I’m not going to the store. I’m going to see aunt Mary, but I’ll get them for you at the gas station.
Q: Where will the woman stop on the way?
12. M: I agreed with your proposal at the meeting this morning. It was a good one.
W: You should have backed me up then when I needed it.
Q: What does the woman mean?
13. W: You've been working late almost every night this week, Dad. Aren’t you exhausted?
M: I don’t think I really have time to be exhausted.
Q: What does the man imply?
14. W: I like these glasses, but they look like they would be expensive.
M: They’re $ 15. 00 a piece, or $ 150.00 for ten. Really that’s not very expensive for genuine
leaded crystal. >
Q: How much do two glasses cost?
15. W: You’ve done your assignment work well, but Mary has done hers even better.
M: Is that so? Let me have a look at it.
Q: Who does the woman mean?
16. M: I wish you had told me your vacation plans sooner.
W: I’m sorry. I thought you knew I go to my parents’ beach house each August.
Q: Why is the man upset?
17. W: Would next Friday be convenient? At three o’clock.
M: Oh, yes. I want my eyes tested. I think I need some new glasses.
Q: Who will the man make appointment to see?
18. M: I’ve been taking four courses, but I think I’ll drop one of them at the end of this term.
W: That may be for the best. •
Q: What does the woman mean?
Conversation One
W: Hello.
M: Hi. I’m calling about the ad for the apartment found in today’s newspaper. W: Okay. What would you like to know?
M: First of all, how big is it?
W: It’s a two-bedroom apartment with a living room, dining room and kitchen, and one bathroom
There’s also a place for a washer and dryer.
M: Oh, is the apartment furnished at all?
W: Yeah. The apartment is partially furnished with a refrigerator, stove, and my grandmother’s old
dishwasher.
M: What’s the rent?
W: It’s $ 950 a month.
M: Whoa. That is a little expensive for me. Does that include utilities?
W: Well, the rent includes gas and electricity, but not the phone bill.
M: Well, can I rent month-to-month, or do I have to sign a lease for a longer period of time?
W: We require a 6-month commitment for the apartment, and if you cancel the agreement anytime during that period, hey... you lose your deposit.
M: Oh, and how much is the deposit?
W: It’s $ 400. Generally speaking, we return the deposit when you move out, but if you destroy the place, then don’t expect to get anything back.
M: Ah. Are pets allowed? .
W: Well, you can keep small pets like a bird in a small cage, but don’t allow larger animals like dogs, cats, or snakes. Things like that.
M: Um, I have a rat that I keep in a cage. Will that be okay?
W: Well, as long it doesn’t escape, I guess that’s okay. And what’s your name?
M: It’s Norman. Norman Bales. Can I see you tomorrow?
W: Sure. See you tomorrow.
Questions 19 to 21 are based on the conversation you have just heard.
