Good morning,distinguished guests,ladies and gentlemen.It is a great pleasure to extend a warm welcome and gracious greeting to respectful guests,honorable delegates and my dear friends on behalf of the university.As we all known,the science and technology of civil engineering is hopefully to be pushed forward and professors,scholars as well as scientists are expected to exchange ideas more smoothly and unimpededly due to the host of the International Symposium. Finally,I wish this meeting a great success and my guests a happy stay.

Good evening,distinguished guests,ladies and gentlemen.Happy New Year.I am very glad and honored to be here to celebrate the arrival of the new year with all of my guests,colleagues and students.During the past year,joint efforts has been made to complete the major scientific projects and a great many achievements has been accomplished both in research and teaching fields.these awards would not be won without the passion and perseverance of all teachers,especially our foreign friends who spare no efforts to assist us.So I am willing to take this opportunity to express my sincere thanks to you for what you have for to our university and I wish you a good luck and great success next year.Now let me propose a toast.Happy New Year.
