Structure:

Beginning - A group of boys landed on an island. They built their shelter, found water, and lit fire. Development - They search for different food. Jack lead some boys to hunt a pig, which made them miss the chance of rescue and thus annoyed Ralph. So Jack left the group with some boys and form his own tribe.

Climax - Chaos rose, Jack's tribe Simon killed and Piggy, they even hunted Ralph

End - They were found by navy officers and rescued to the society.

Theme:

1.The book portrays boys' descent into savagery, the well-educated children regress to a

primitive state, when they a free from rules.

2.Society holds everyone together, and without these conditions, our ideals, values, and the

basics of right and wrong are lost. Without rigid rules of society, anarchy and savagery can come to light.

3.The innate darkness of human beings

Writing style:

It avoid highly poetic language, lengthy description, and philosophical interludes. Much of the novel is allegorical. The characters and objects are endowed with symbolic significance that convey the themes of the novel.
