b)He is the famous Poet, essayist, children’s literature writer in

c)Graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Arts degree

in 1921

d)He was an anxious boy who enjoy the musical instruments and

the barnyard animals kept behind his huge house

e)Then became a reporter for The Seattle Times and as an

advertising copywriter before joining the The New Yorker

magazine in 1924.And he worked for The New Yorker for six

decades

f)He published his first article —《A Step Forward》in The New

Yorker magazine in 1925.

g)Then he joined the staff in 1927 and continued to contribute for

six decades.

h)In the late 30s, White turned to hand to children's fiction.

i)Hi s first children’s book, Stuart Little, was published in 1945, and

Charlotte’s Web appeared in 1952. The Trumpet of Swan was

published in 1970.

m)概况：It tells us about the writer’s feeling to New York as the man who comes from other place. The writer thinks the New York has its greater charming which originates from its inclusive and its vitality. So it attracts a number of people who is adventure and has an excess of energy and is eager to gain the success with his hard working to come here with their dreams. These people make the New York more passion, vitality, power and harder-working. White gives several examples to show us the aspects of New York. You can choose whatever you want here. In every minute there are a lot of thing happen, you can keep yourself out of these affairs if you like, or join in others. You also have chance to meet with the famous people or sit on a place where the famous one stayed. White describes at length his feeling to New York and he loves this city, meanwhile he hates it.

It also reveals some problem in New York, such as terrible traffic,

pollution, the supply food and so on. Anyway, New York can

destroy the individual, and also can fulfill him, depending on his

luck.
