The movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding told us a story about a girl Toulawho grew up in a Greek-American family in Chicago. The plot revolved around traditional authoritarian and anti-traditionalstruggle. Greece, one of the four ancient civilizations，astonished Americans with its long and profound culture, and made the box office hit.

Uncertainty avoidance in Greek culture is very high , while this index of American culture is relatively low.Toula’s father tried his best to keep his family far away from American culture. For examples，he builtGrecian houses，drew Greek flag on the door，made his kids learn Greek，ran a Greek restaurant and kept in touch closely with other Greeks.He got furious when he knew the relationship between Ian and his daughter because Ian is not a Greek. From here we could see that his father’s fear of uncertainties. Ian’s parents were not amazed at all when they knew the news，and they did not pay much attention to that Greek girl.They even blended into the wedding and danced bright with others at last.

I believed those two culture would blend with each other，no matter how big the difference between them is，just as the ending of the movie suggested.
