Shennong Tasted Plants
Shen Nong Shi, the God of Agriculture, was believed to be the first to discover tea. In his “Book of Herbs”(神农本草经), it says that “Shen Nong shi personally tasted hundreds of species of herbs and he was hit by 72 poisons in a single day. But he used a kind of tree leaves to ease his case and it turned out to be tea tree."

Tieguanyin 铁观音
Tieguanyin is produced in Anxi 安溪, Fujian Province. tealeaves: dark green in color, similar to that of iron Legend: monk and Goddess Guanyin. It is said that tieguanyin has such a strong aroma that even after adding water to the teapot seven times, one can still enjoy the pleasant taste and fragrance.

Green tea 绿茶
The tea made without being fermented The tea liquid and tea leaves are greenish. Benefits: • It help people reduce their inner heat. • It helps with anti-ageing. • It prevents computer radiation and bad breath.
Black tea 红茶
The most essential character of black tea is red tea water, red leaves and sugariness. The color of dry black tea is red with black, so that “Black Tea” in English means “the black tea”。 Most people in China are accustomed to drink plain tea without any additives. In European and Amercian countries, people like to drink tea with milk and sugar added. Black tea can be prepared as a cool beverage. The usual way is that: pour luke warm water over instant tea to make a strong liquid, then pour the liquid into a glass filled with ice cubes, add honey or sugar to taste and one or two slices of lemon. Then a cup of cool beverage with sweet and acid taste is ready.

Qimen black tea

History of the Tea
♣ China is the initial place of tea and also the fist country
to discover the tea tree and make use of it. Early back to primitive society, tea has been used as medicine. Tea has been found in the record documents of China’ Zhou dynasty about 1100BC. People began to drink tea in their daily life and the appeared the market of tea in 100BC. Drinking tea became a fashion in Xijin dynasty and Tang dynasty . “Tea Jing”(茶经) written by Lu Yu in 760AD was the first book of tea in the world, which promote the development of tea culture.
