North Shashi Town is mainly responsible for administration and business finance, meetings expo, shopping, entertainment, sports competition, living and other functions, and owns complete sets of public facilities. The city planning and design whose main idea is integrated function, high quality, low carbon livable space, is the most important thing in Jingzhou development plan.

Jinhou City is in the central and south of Hubei Province. Located in Jianghan plain hinterland, east of Wuhan, west of three gorges, south above Yangzi River, north of Hanjiang river, it is a traffic artery and material distribution center. What’s more it is known as the first national historical and cultural city, economic ties in central and south of Hubei district, port city along Yangtze River, national light industrial base. Besides, it’s famous for its culture, fullness of rice and fish, and the resorts. At the same time, Jingzhou city is important in the rise of central China plan.

The new city is located in northeast of Jingzhou city whose establishing will ascend Shashi status, forming a new urban pattern. With its fusion of important function, will be the center of Jingzhou city and perfect the urban functions which could change the situation that no center in Jingzhou

Future planning and development goals of Jingzhou
To implement scientific outlook on development, to promote economic, social and environmental resources, to facilitate harmonious development of urban and rural harmonious development , to realize the well-off society completely. To take full advantage of Jingzhou resources as historical and cultural cities , strengthen regional cooperation in Yangtze river tourism, to improve the tourism service facilities, in order to build Jingzhou for the famous tourist destination. To Strengthen regional cooperation in economic and traffic, to obviously improve social development and economic strength of jingzhou prefecture level by developing new industry, to build Jingzhou for the important transportation hub of Yangtze river, and central city in the center and south Hubei District. To response to global low carbon, to create a good living environment, built Jingzhou for ecological livable cities.
