12 GENERAL

The MOLD EXPERT system allows to monitor the inner life of the mold.

The actual mold temperature and mold heat flux is represented by charts as well as mold friction and oscilator stroke. The status of the breakout prevention is displayed by a traffic light and chart.

Also historical data are displayed of many of the measured parameters.

12.1 Main window

The MOLD EXPERT main window is a container form, which contains all the application

child forms.

All other application child forms are displayed within that window’s internal area.

In the toolbar at the top of the main window a traffic light displays the status of the breakout prevention.

At the bottom of the main window a status bar displays the connection states of the data servers. If the connection is up a green light will be displayed, otherwise a red light is shown.

12.1.1 Dialogues and Buttons

Menu Dialog Tool Button Description

File – Exit Terminates the MOLD EXPERT system.

View - Parameter List opens the Parameter List form.

View - Process Monitor opens the Process Monitor form.

View - Mold Thermic opens the Mold Thermic form.

View - Mold Oscillation opens the Mold Oscillation form.

View - Heatflux opens the Heatflux form.

View – Mold Breakout opens the Mold Breakout form.

View - Toolbar hides or makes visible the toolbar.

View - Statusbar hides or makes visible the statusbar.

Window - Cascade arranges the subwindows inside the main window

one after another.

Window - Tile Horizontally arranges the subwindows inside the main window

horizontally.

Window - Tile Vertically arranges the subwindows inside the main window

vertically.

Window - Arrange Icons arranges all icons inside the main window.

Language allows to select between different languages. Unit see chapter below.

Situation – Save Situation allows to save interesting casting situations (see

chapter below).
