Jenny is another important woman in Forrest Gump‟s life . In their childhood ,Jenny is his only friend. In the film, Forrest Gump is a very pure image, but Jenny has become the degenerate symbol(堕落的象征 ) .

On a mission in Vietnam the company led by Lieutenant Dan are attacked, Bubba dies. Dan is saved, but has been badly wounded, his legs have been amputated(截肢).He blames Gump for rescuing him but leaving him a cripple(残废).

The story
