船舶动力定位现在很有前景的,主要应用领域就是在多用途工程船,油田服务船,海洋工程,海洋石油平台等领域。尤其是海洋石油领域需求很大,因为围绕海洋工程的船舶和石油平台都经常需要长时间定位于海上某一位置,进而进行海上工程,或者进行钻井采油活动,动力定位分为3个等级,DP1,DP2,DP3,一般多用途船舶达到DP2就可以,石油平台一般需要DP3。
目前国外的动力定位技术已经很成熟,国内只有上海708研究所在此领域成功研发出有自主知识产权的我国动力定位系统,已经达到了DP3的水平,但是国内的很多动力定位系统都是靠进口的。这个市场是很大的,因为目前海洋石油正蓬勃发展,新型的多用途船舶,石油平台也会增加很快,因此前景不错
DP Class 1,2 and 3
IMO
Class 1 Loss of position may occur in the event of a single fault.
Class 2 Loss of position should not occur from a single fault of an active component or system such as generators, thruster, switchboards, remote controlled valves etc. But may occur after failure of a static component such as cables, pipes manual valves etc.
Class 3 Loss of position should not occur from any single failure including a completely burnt fire subdivision or flooded watertight compartment. A single fault includes a single inadvertent act by any person onboard the vessel.
The Classification Societies define the different class as follows:
ABS
DPS 1 Vessels are to be fitted with a dynamic positioning system which is capable of automatically maintaining the position and heading of the vessel under specified maximum environmental conditions having an independent centralized manual position control with automatic heading.
DPS 2 Vessels are to be fitted with a dynamic positioning system which is capable of automatically maintaining the position and heading of the vessel within a specified operating envelope under specified maximum environmental conditions during and following any single fault excluding a loss of compartment or compartments.
DPS 3 Vessels are to be fitted with a dynamic positioning system which is capable of automatically maintaining the position and heading of the vessel within a specified operating envelope under specified maximum environmental conditions during and following any single fault including a loss of a compartment due to fire or flood.
D.N.V.
AUT An automatic position keeping system with a remote thrust control back up and a position reference back up.
AUTR An automatic position keeping system with redundancy in Technical design.
AUTRO An automatic position keeping system with redundancy in technical design and physical arrangement.

DP(AM) This notation is assigned when a ship is fitted with automatic and standby manual controls for position keeping and with position reference system(s) environmental sensor(s) and machinery arrangements as defined in section 5.2 (within LR Rules)
DP(AA) This notation is assigned when a ship is fitted with automatic and automatic standby controls for position keeping and with position reference system(s), environmental sensor(s) as defined in section 5.3 (within LR Rules).
DP(AAA) This notation is assigned when a ship is fitted with automatic and automatic standby controls for position keeping together with an additional/emergency automatic control unit located in a separate compartment and with position reference system(s), environmental sensor(s) and machinery arrangements as defined in section 5.3 (within LR Rules).
DP3 三级动力定位,简单的说区别于2级主要在于其系统设计的冗余与系统布置上的物理分割。
三级定位与二级定位在定位精度上是一样的,而冗余是在于进行系统设计师尤其是在于推进系统或与推进系统相关的系统设计是要充分考虑冗余设计,用规范的话讲就是在一个运行的系统失效时,不能导致另一个运行系统同时失效。要达到这样的效果,在系统从二维到三维的具体的布置,包括管路,设备,电缆,通风等专业的设计,就要认真考虑失效分析(FMEA),系统的冗余要靠物理分割来有效的保证各个相互备用系统之间尽可能得以A60分割开或尽可能地相互远离,不穿过同一个服务区域。
