EMMA – temperature issues
EMMA contains temperature sensitive equipment which must always remain at stable temperature Optimal temperature for EMMA is 20ºC-25ºC. Too high temperature is one of the most often reasons of problems with the measuring equipment and failures of the equipment Each EMMA has additional cooling system which doesn’t work when the backside door is open

Products have to be at least 30 minutes inside the chamber before they also reach 100ºC In practice required heating time depends on total volume products in the chamber EMMA software has the procedure for calculating of „waiting time” Waiting time should not be interrupted, otherwise you can measure products with lower real temperature

EMMA – testjig issues
Only testjigs in good mechanical and electrical conditions should be used for measurements, otherwise you certainly experience problems You should take care for testjigs, do not remove any part of it and replace broken parts with the same type Fastfit testjig has a lot of connectors. Each connector has its limited lifetime and after many connection-disconnection cycles becomes not reliable and need to be replaced For the reliable work of fastfit testjig all connectors should fit perfectly Fastfit test jig can be used only up to 100ºC. This is the maximum temperature for connectors installed on it

EMMA – measuring coils issues
For preparing measuring coils the wire with the maximum possible diameter should be used. EMMA software do not calculate the resistance of the coil. Number of turns of the coil should be as low as necessary for execution of the measurement For measurements above 100kHz you have to use special teflon/PTFE wire, otherwise additional error will occur Corelation of number of turns and wire diameters between Poland and Dongguan

EMMA – general issues
Keep connectors properly fixed, do not lose conection screws Do not disconnect and connect any cable when EMMA is executing measurement otherwise damage to the equipment can occur Do not remove and lose any part of EMMA. EMMA can work without many parts, but for reliable and long term work of EMMA all parts are necessary Do not try to repair any broken part of EMMA, for example a fuse holder, replace it with the new equivalent Your EMMA should always look and work like the new one
