——动词不定式
动词不定式有两种形式，一种是带to的不定式，另一种是不带to的不定式；其后面的动词必须是原形。

1.不定式在句中可作主语、宾语、补语等。

①用作主语，如，
To see is to believe.百闻不如一见。

To err is human, to forgive divine.犯错误是人之常情，宽恕是超凡的。

当代英语常用it作为语法上的主语，即形式主语，将真是主语不定式放在位于之后，如：
It always pays to tell me the truth.说实话总是不吃的。

②用作表语，如：
Y our task is to look after the baby.你的任务是照顾这小孩。

③用作动词的宾语（动词+to do），如：
They want to learn French. 他们想学法语。

I hope to pass in maths. 我希望通过数学考试。

They decided to buy the car. 他们决定买这辆车。

2.有许多动词可以带名词/代词（通常是人称代词宾格），然后再跟不定式，即：动词+名词/代词+to do, 如：
I want you to help me. 我想让你帮我。

Tell them to carry the box.告诉他们抬这个箱子。

She asked me to clean the house.她叫我清理屋子。

The doctor advised him to take a rest.医生劝他休息。

3.动词不定式的否定形式是在to之前加not构成的，如：
He decided not to tell his mother.他决定不告诉他的妈妈。

My mother told me not to close the door.妈妈叫我不要关门。

Tell your children not to move the box.告诉你的孩子别搬那个盒子。

4.有些动词如hear,see,make,let等感官动词或使役动词后面是加不带“to”的不定式，如：
I heard you call me.我听见你叫我了。

The teacher always makes the students clean the office.这个老师总是让学生打扫办公室。

Will you let me go home?你让我回家好吗？
