The book described a beautiful story for us. The events of the 1870s provided the backdrop for the story .Everything happened in the field of England. At that time, people living in there earning money depend on physical labor such as pulling the cart ,spun the wool into threat and plant the grain.
Where the flowers bloomed and the leaves fallen, the love still greater fiercely burning . The main character who called Bathsheba is an innocent and beautiful girl. There situated large farm in wealtherbury belongs to her. The farm is her uncle left. But now, she look charge of the business. she can’t resist the coming love ,though it is unnecessary for her.
The second character in this story called Gabriel Oak. Gabriel was a sensible man of good character, who had been brought up by his father as a shephered. He was twenty-eight a tall, well-built men. He always showing persistence love for Bathsheba. Another man-Mr Bolwood ,he was his own farm and very rich. He was serious, and did not joke with his neighbours .People thought he was cold. Of course ,he considered women to be distance almost foreign creatures. Plus, There is a young men called Sergeant Troy met with Bathsheba which is a absolute chance. His father was a doctor ,but people said his real father was a nobleman. He had been brought up in Weathebury and was well known as a young soldier with a great interest in girls.
This innocent and simple women and three different status man developing their emotional story. When Bathsheba first appeared at the weekly casterbridge market ,She caused a sensation .All of people observed her, but she noticed that there was one farmed, however ,who did not seem to notice her, and this annoyed her a valentine said ‘Marry me’ to disturb the farmer Boldwood. The valentine has destroyed the peaceful routine of Boldwood’s life. He turned his head and looked at her. To Baldwood , Bathsheba Shine like the moon on a dark night .His heart ,which his love her. He decided to go and speak to her.
“I wouldn’t have proposed if you hadn’t allowed me to hope”he said to Bathsheba.Perhaps, Bathsheba’s young heart was full of pity for this sensitive man who had spoken so simply and honestly . However, when she met with a handsome soldier ,she hesitate. A young called Sergeant Troy who wear a bright red and gold army uniform. He bring her visit a lot of beautiful places and enjoy themselves .At last she was married to him. At that time ,another two men are trapped in
deep sadness.
A long time went as usually ,but the life in Bathsheba and Troy’s eyes more and more bored, Troy always using money to house-racing. and he no longer loved her enough to agree to anything she wanted. On the otherhand, Boldwood hate Troy very much from bottom of his heart .So ,There existed a lot of disputes between Boldwood and Troy.
An unexpected impulse making Boldwood turned the gun on Troy and troyed get killed. Boldwood was found guilty of murder, and in the end Boldwood was sent to prison for life. Bathsheba blamed herself for Troy’s death and her health health improved only very slowly.
In the next years ,Gabriel a hardworking men take a good care of Bathsheba. She went for a walk often with Gabriel, talking of his plans for farm business.
Comment:This shared interests and their long ,friendly relationship had given them a
complete understanding of each other’s, and this friendly developed, after their wedding , into a love that nothing would destroy.。
