二、词汇、短语1. weekly adj. 每周一次的, 每周的 a weekly magazine 周刊a weekly visit 每周They are doing the weekly cleaning. 他们正在进行每周一次的大扫除。
2. happen vi.发生, 主语常是物; (无被动语态) e.g. The story happened in(1) happen to sb./sth.某人/某物发生什么事If anything happens to the machine, let(2) happen to do sth. 碰巧做某事I happened to be out when you called.3. a number of =some 许多, 后接可数名词复数，构成主语时谓语动词用复数。
the number of ……的数字，构成主语时，谓语动词用单数形式。

“be found +adj.”意为“被发现处于什么状态”。
主动语态中应为“find…dead”，意为“发现……死了”。
7.mind “介意，反对”后+名词／代词／动名词／从句。
常用句型:Would/Do you mind ……?表示委婉、客气的请求，意为“……你介意吗？” 其回答：①不反对或不介意,即同意时:No,please do./Certainly not./Of course not./No, go ahead.②反对、不同意时：Sorry/I’m sorry./I wish you wouldn’t.然后再陈述拒绝或反对的理由。
