追风筝的人英文版The Kite Runner
His eyes searched my face for a long time. We sat there, two boys under a sour cherry tree, suddenly looking, really looking, at each other. That’s when it happened again: Hassan’s face changed. Maybe not _changed_, not really, but suddenly I had the feeling I was looking at two faces, the one I knew, the one that was my first memory, and another, a second face, this one lurking(潜藏) just beneath the surface. I’d seen it happen before--it always shook me up a little. It just appeared, this other face, for a fraction of(一小部分) a moment, long enough to leave me with the unsettling feeling that maybe I’d seen it someplace before. Then Hassan blinked and it was just him again. Just Hassan.
BREAD PPT DESIGN
I dropped next to him, lay on a thin patch of snow, wheezing(喘气). “You’re wasting our time. It was going the other way, didn’t you see?” Hassan popped(取出) a mulberry(桑葚) in his mouth. “It’s coming,” he said. I could hardly breathe and he didn’t even sound tired. “How do you know?” I said. “I know.” “How can you know?” He turned to me. A few sweat beads(汗滴) rolled from his bald(光秃的) scalp(头皮). “Would I ever lie to you, Amir agha?” Suddenly I decided to toy with him a little. “I don’t know. Would you?”

Hassan sacrificed himself for Amir’s house even though Amir betrayed him. These are more than a friend would do. To Hassan, Amir was not only a mere friend but a brother. He loved Amir more than anything else. • Only those who loves you so much could challenge himself to do what Hassan did to Amir. To the world you are one person, but to the person who loves you, you are the world.

Reflection of the Book
Main Point
Betrayal & redemption
Family relationship
Family support
The growth of Amir is right the process of betrayal and redemption. He betrayed Hassan for envy and racial discrimination. However, when he moved to America, the difficulties he met which caused by his race made him realize the importance of “forgiveness”. Finally, he saved Sohrab and redeemed himself.
Hassan & Soharb
Hassan: I dream that my son will grow up to be a good person, a free person. I dream that someday you will return to revisit the land of our childhood. I dream that flowers will bloom in the streets again... and kites will fly in the skies!
The Most Impressive Person
As for me ,the most impressive person in this book is the little poor boy, Sohrab, the son of Hassan .Being born in that troublous area, he lost home, family and even almost his life. When laughter replaced by silence ,My heart deeply sank with full sympathy.

CHAPTER TWOWhen we were children, Hassan and I used to climb the poplar trees in the driveway of my father's house and annoy our neighbors by reflecting sunlight into their Homes with a shard of mirror. We would sit across from each other on a pair of high branches, our naked feet dangling, our trouser pockets filled with dried mulberries and walnuts. We took turns with the mirror as we ate mulberries, pelted each other with them, giggling, laughing; I can still see Hassan up on that tree, sunlight flickering through the leaves on his almost perfectly round face, a face like a Chinese doll chiseled from hardwood: his flat, broad nose and slanting, narrow eyes like bamboo leaves, eyes that looked, depending on the light, gold, green, even sapphire. I can still see his tiny low-set ears and that pointed stub of a chin, a meaty appendage that looked like it was added as a mere afterthought. And the cleft lip, just left of midline, where the Chinese doll maker's instrument may have slipped; or perhaps he had simply grown tired and careless.Sometimes, up in those trees, I talked Hassan into firing walnuts with his slingshot at the neighbor's one-eyed German shepherd. Hassan never wanted to, but if I asked, "really"asked, he wouldn't deny me. Hassan never denied me anything. And he was deadly with his slingshot. Hassan's father, Ali, used to catch us and get mad, or as mad as someone as gentle as Ali could ever get. He would wag his finger and wave us down from the tree. He would take the mirror and tell us what his mother had told him, that the devil shone mirrors too, shone them to distract Muslims during prayer. "And he laughs while he does it,?he always added, scowling at his son."Yes, Father,"Hassan would mumble, looking down at his feet. But he never told on me. Never told that the mirror, like shooting walnuts at the neighbor's dog, was always my idea. The poplar trees lined the redbrick driveway, which led to a pair of wrought-iron gates. They in turn opened into an extension of the driveway into my father's estate. The house sat on the left side of the brick path, the backyard at the end of it.Everyone agreed that my father, my Baba, had built the most beautiful house in the Wazir Akbar Khan district, a new and affluent neighborhood in the northern part of Kabul. Some thought it was the prettiest house in all of Kabul. A broad entryway flanked by rosebushes led to the sprawling house of marble floors and wide windows. Intricate mosaic tiles, handpicked by Baba in Isfahan, covered the floors of the four bathrooms. Gold-stitched tapestries, which Baba had bought in Calcutta, lined the walls; a crystal chandelier hung from the vaulted ceiling.重点精讲:driveway n.车道annoy vt.搅扰,骚扰,干扰,使生气These flies are annoying me.这些苍蝇一直在打搅我。

Unedrstanding
Everyone has his kite and everyone is a kite runner at the same time. We have to be brave to take the responsibilities that belong to us and admit the mistakes we made. We should not betray our heart. One should never be too selfish. Just like Hassan ,we should learn to be loyalty. And we ought to cherish friendship. As the saying goes,‘Friendship is like health, the value of which is seldom known until it is lost.’
