Language points
1. … you used to be short, didn’t you？ (1) used to意为“过去常常；以前经常”，后 接动词原形，表示过去的习惯动作或状态， 暗指现在此状态不存在了或动作不发生了。 He used to live in Paris. 他过去一直住在巴黎。 注意：其中的 to 是不定式符号，而不是介词， 所以其后只接动词原形(不能接动名词)。

Look at the picture in 1a and make conversations. A: Did ... used to ...? B: Yes, he did./No, he didn't. He used to... A: What's he like now? B: He ... now.
