Resetting the grpadmin Account PasswordIf you are unable to log in to a PS Array group and perform group modifications because you do not know the password for an account that has read-write permission, you can temporarily reset the grpadmin account password to the default factory-set password, which is grpadmin. This gives you the opportunity to log in to the group with read-write permission. You can then change the grpadmin account password to a known value.Be sure that no other group administrator is changing the grpadmin account password when you are following the password recovery procedure, because this will cause the password reset to fail. Process for resetting grpadmin password for V3 firmwareConnect to the *active controller's serial port* of the array (this function is not available from ssh/telnet). Turn off power to the member (if you have dual power supplies, turn off both power supplies).Volumes with data located on the member will be offline and iSCSI connections to those volumes will be lost until the member is restarted.3. If the member has two control modules, after it is shut down, locate the lock on the control modulethat is not connected to the Micro-D adapter. This is the control module that was the secondarycontrol module, not the active control module. The lock is on the far left side of the controlmodule, to the left of the text for the three status LEDs. Loosen the Phillips screw that holds the lock in place, and then slide the lock to the right so that it partially covers the LED text. This will temporarily disable the control module and prevent it from interfering with the password resetprocedure.4. Turn on power to the member by turning on all the power supplies.5. While the member is restarting, press Ctrl/p when the following message appears on the console:Press Ctrl/p to enter setup mode.This will halt the boot process and allow you to enter commands to the boot monitor.6. At the CFE> prompt, enter the following commands, which are case-sensitive and must be typedexactly as shown:CFE> setenv RESETPASSWORD 1CFE> reload7. When the member restarts, the PS Array login prompt appears. After a short pause, the followingmessage should appear:WARNING: Password recovery mode... Temporarily resetting grpadmin password.If you get the previous message, log in to the group using the grpadmin account and its factory-set password, grpadmin:Login: grpadminPassword: grpadminAt this point, you are logged in to the group with read-write permission and can perform any group administration task. At this point, you should set the grpadmin account password to a known value.Use the procedure described in the Modifying Accounts section in the Group Administration manual or use the following command:> account select grpadmin passwdEnter New Password: xxxxxxxRetype password: xxxxxxxNote: Unless you set the grpadmin account password within five minutes after the password recovery mode message appears, the grpadmin password will revert back to the value it had prior to the password reset procedure (that is, you will no longer be able to log in with the factory-set password). However, as long as you remain logged in to the grpadmin account, you can set the password to a known value.If the password recovery mode message does not appear, the password reset procedure did not succeed (for example, because you did not enter the CFE commands exactly as shown). In this case, allow the member to completely start up, and then retry the password reset procedure, shutting down the member and following the steps above.8. If the member has two control modules, after logging in to the group and setting thegrpadmin password, slide the lock on the disabled control module to the left. Tighten the Phillips screw gently to secure the lock. This restarts the secondary control module and allows it to be used.Within one minute, you should see a console message, indicating that the secondarycontrol module is operational.。

The rear panel allows connection to audio sources, power amplifiers, AC power, and other system components.The remote control provides power, preamplifier, level control, navigation and customization functions, CD and DVD player controls and menu configuration.Do not place the preamplifier where it could be exposed to dripping or splashing.Do not remove or bypass the ground pin on the end of the AC cord. ATP Calibrator SetGENERAL DESCRIPTIONThe calibration devices in this kit are used for performance verification and calibration of the LIGHTNING MVP ICON ™ and LIGHTNING MVP ® systems. The luminescent calibratorconsists of a 14C radioactive source that emits a very low level (5 x 105 d.p.m., or 0.225 microcuries) of low energy ß radiation in a plastic scintillation matrix. This matrix is configured to give constant light output, within 10% of its original value, at a sufficiently high level to make consistent verification and calibration functions possible over the five ‐year life of the calibrator. The non ‐luminescent black plastic calibrator provides a reliable low ‐end or “dark” source reading.Part No. 64012‐00 KIT COMPONENTS One luminescent calibrator One non ‐luminescent calibrator RECOMMENDED USEA. Performance Verification: If a given test point result orLIGHTNING MVP ICON™ ATP Positive Control result is not what is expected, it is suggested that the calibrators be used. You may wish to perform daily or weeklyperformance verification checks consisting of simply inserting and reading the calibrators. Calibrator results should be compared with the Zone value stated on the calibrator label and with previous calibration results. If the calibrator results are within specifications (see INTERPRETING RESULTS ), you can be confident that the MVP ICON or MVP is functioning properly. B. Calibration: The instrument’s Zone readings arestandardized by a two ‐point calibration procedure. Note: All MVP ICON and MVP instruments are factorycalibrated prior to being shipped. Because several factors can cause the calibrator results to be out of specification, a full calibration should be performed only if either of these two conditions are true, and all of the conditions in “Causes of Inconsistent Calibrator Readings” have been ruled out: (a) Luminescent calibrator readings are consistent within 0.1Zones of each other but are not within 0.1 Zones of the Zone value printed on the calibrator label. (b) Non ‐luminescent calibrator readings are consistentwithin ± 0.3 Zones of each other but are not within the 1.0 to 1.5 range. If, after cleaning and repeated tries, consistent calibrator results cannot be obtained, call BioControl Technical Support at 800.245.0113.Note: Accepting a particular calibration will set the sensitivity for all subsequent readings. It is not possible to change a calibrated instrument back to a former calibration. STORAGEStore at 15 – 25 ˚C in a tightly closed container, away from any light sources.IMPORTANT USAGE GUIDELINESIt is critical to insert the calibrators into the MVP ICON with the two flat sides of the calibrator’s wider end facing left and right. Improper orientation may result in damage to the instrument.When performing verifications using the calibrators, always begin with theluminescent verification first, then proceed to the non ‐luminescent verification. MVP ICON TEST PROCEDURESThe calibrators are inserted in the MVP ICON and MVP in a similar manner as sampling devices. Unlike the sampling devices, the calibrators do not require activation. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO ACTIVATE THE LUMINESCENT CALIBRATOR.When inserting into the MVP ICON, ensure the flat sides of the calibrator’s base chamber are facing left and right. A. MVP ICON Performance Verification(a) Ensure the MVP ICON is in an ATP mode, select “Device”from the bottom menu then “Calibration”. (b) Select “Luminescent Cal” or “Non ‐Luminescent Cal,” asappropriate, to run the verification.NOTE: If performing both verifications, always begin with the luminescent verification first, then proceed to the non ‐luminescent verification. (c) Follow prompts.B. Calibrating the MVP ICON(a) Ensure the MVP ICON is in an ATP mode, select “Device”from the bottom menu then “Calibration”. (b) Select “Calibrate” and enter the reference value locatedon the luminescent calibrator label. (c) Insert the luminescent calibrator and press “Calibrate.”Repeat with the non ‐luminescent calibrator.Flat Side(d) The MVP ICON will display “Calibration Successful” whenproperly calibrated and will store the calibration in thedevice. The last calibration date will appear on the home screen of the device. If the “Calibration Failed” message appears, the calibration will need to be repeated. If failed message still appears, contact BioControl TechnicalSupport at 800.245.0113.LIGHTNING MVP TEST PROCEDURESA.LIGHTNING MVP Performance Verification(a) Open the sample chamber and insert the calibrationdevice. Close the sample chamber.(b) Select “Read ATP” from the main menu.(c) It is suggested that luminescent and non‐luminescentcalibrator results be stored in the MVP memory for later retrieval. Assigning these results test point numbers will facilitate data collection and retrieval: for example, 996non‐luminescent, 997 luminescent.(d) Assign a test point number (if desired) and press the“Enter” key to begin reading.B.Calibrating the LIGHTNING MVP(a)Select “Calibration” from the ATP Main Menu.(b)Enter the integer reference value displayed on theluminescent 14C calibrator label. Press “Enter” to acceptthe value.(c)Insert the non‐luminescent calibrator into the MVP andpress “Enter.”(d)After the reading is complete, the result is displayed asan integer (not Zone) value. Remove the non‐luminescent calibrator from the MVP and insert theluminescent 14C calibrator. Press “Enter” to initiate theread.Note: Repeat steps (c) and (d) two additional times. The MVP screens will guide you through this process. Note that the replicate number displays on each screen.(e)If the calibration values are within the MVP’s internalspecification, the values are displayed. You must acceptthe values by pressing “Enter” otherwise the calibration will not take effect.Note: If the variation in replicate results is not within the MVP’s internal specifications, an error message will appear. Press “Enter” to return to Main Menu. The MVP’s calibration remains unchanged and the procedure must be repeated (see CAUSES OF INCONSISTENT CALIBRATOR READINGS). INTERPRETING RESULTSThe luminescent calibrator in a properly calibrated MVP ICON or MVP should read within 0.1 Zones of the Zone value displayed on the calibrator’s label. The non‐luminescent calibrator should read 1.0 to 1.5 Zones in a calibrated MVP ICON or MVP system. Readings outside the range of these values can indicate problems with the instrument, calibrators, or improper reading technique (see Chapter 27, Troubleshooting in the MVP ICON User Guide or Section 8, Troubleshooting in the MVP System Guide). CAUSES FOR INCONSISTENT CALIBRATOR READINGS Several factors can cause out‐of‐specification calibrator results. Before trying to re‐calibrate the MVP ICON or MVP, rule out the following possible causes of inconsistent calibrator readings:(a)Dirty or Damaged CalibratorsInconsistent calibrator results can arise from thecalibrators being dirty or damaged. Clean the outside of both calibrators with a lint free cloth that has beendipped in reagent‐grade isopropyl or ethyl alcohol. Airdry and repeat your readings. Damaged luminescentcalibrators should be returned to BioControl andreplaced with a functioning calibrator.(b)Instrument ContaminationResults that have changed suddenly, especiallyimmediately after a number of sampling devices havebeen run, can indicate a contamination problem.Calibrator results can increase or decrease as a result of foreign materials fouling the optics chamber of theinstrument. If you suspect contamination of theinstrument, please refer to the MVP ICON User Guide or MVP System Guide for further instructions.(c)Exposure to LightInconsistent readings can also arise if the luminescentcalibrator is exposed to intense light prior to being read.Insert the calibrator in the MVP ICON or MVP and wait a minimum of 2 minutes before attempting to read again.If repeated readings still fall outside the specified range, it may be necessary to calibrate your instrument. PRECAUTIONSNote: The luminescent calibrator has been designed for use in a laboratory or office setting. Do not take the luminescent calibrator into factory processing areas. This document assumes that you are familiar with the LIGHTNING MVP ICON sampling devices, test point definition, and “Zone” system of light measurement. Please refer to the MVP ICON User Guide or MVP System Guide if these topics are unfamiliar.To ensure the stability and longevity of the luminescent calibrator, the following precautions must be taken:Limit Exposure to Light.Store the luminescent calibrator in the dark or in weak ambient light. If the luminescent calibrator is exposed to bright light prior to use, insert in the MVP ICON or MVP andwait a minimum of 2 minutes before proceeding. The kit box provided is recommended as an appropriate dark storage. Do not expose to direct sunlight or intense artificial light before use.Careful HandlingAvoid crushing, cutting, or dropping the calibrators. Any damage that changes the shape or light transmission properties of the luminescent calibrator can affect the calibrator’s assigned Zone value. Good laboratory and manufacturing precautions should be observed for the use and storage of the calibrators.DisposalFor US and Canadian customers: The level of radioactive material in the luminescent calibrator does not require special hazardous waste treatment, per United States Federal regulations governing the use and transfer of excepted radioactive materials. To dispose of a luminescent calibrator, remove or deface the “Caution‐Radioactive Materials” emblem on the calibrator label. The calibrator may then be disposed of as common waste.Within the United States, please call BioControl Technical Support at 800.245.0113 for further information on instrument calibration and calibrators. Outside of the United States, please call your nearest BioControl authorized distributor office.WARRANTYBioControl Systems, Inc. (BCS) warrants this product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship, when stored under labeled conditions and used as intended, until the expiration date stated on the package. Pro3Gres Parser in the CoNLL Domain Adaptation Shared Task Gerold Schneider and Kaarel Kaljurand and Fabio Rinaldi and Tobias Kuhn Institute of Computational Linguistics,University of ZurichBinzm¨u hlestrasse14CH-8050Zurich,Switzerland{gschneid,kalju,rinaldi,tkuhn}@ifi.uzh.chAbstractWe present Pro3Gres,a deep-syntactic,fastdependency parser that combines a hand-written competence grammar with proba-bilistic performance disambiguation and thathas been used in the biomedical domain.Wediscuss its performance in the domain adap-tation open submission.We achieve aver-age results,which is partly due to difficultiesin mapping to the dependency representationused for the shared task.1IntroductionThe Pro3Gres parser is a dependency parser that combines a hand-written grammar with probabilis-tic disambiguation.It is described in detail in (Schneider,2007).It uses tagger and chunker pre-processors–parsing proper happens only be-tween heads of chunks–and a post-processor graph converter to capture long-distance dependencies. Pro3Gres is embedded in aflexible XML pipeline. It has been applied to many tasks,such as parsing biomedical literature(Rinaldi et al.,2006;Rinaldi et al.,2007)and the whole British National Cor-pus,and has been evaluated in several ways.We have achieved average results in the CoNLL do-main adaptation track open submission(Marcus et al.,1993;Johansson and Nugues,2007;Kulick et al.,2004;MacWhinney,2000;Brown,1973).The performance of the parser is seriously affected by mapping problems to the particular dependency rep-resentation used in the shared task.The paper is structured as follows.We give a brief overview of the parser and its design policy in sec-tion2,we describe the domain adaptations that we have used in section3,comment on the results ob-tained in section4and conclude in section5.2Pro3Gres and its Design PolicyThere has been growing interest in exploring the space between Treebank-trained probabilistic gram-mars(e.g.(Collins,1999;Nivre,2006))and formal grammar-based parsers integrating statistics(e.g. (Miyao et al.,2005;Riezler et al.,2002)).We have developed a parsing system that explores this space,in the vein of systems like(Kaplan et al., 2004),using a linguistic competence grammar and a probabilistic performance disambiguation allow-ing us to explore interactions between lexicon and grammar(Sinclair,1996).The parser has been ex-plicitly designed to be deep-syntactic like a formal grammar-based parser,by using a dependency rep-resentation that is close to LFG f-structure,but at the same time mostly context-free and integrating shallow approaches and aggressive pruning in or-der to keep search-spaces small,without permitting compromise on performance or linguistic adequacy. (Abney,1995)establishes the chunks and dependen-cies model as a well-motivated linguistic theory.The non-local linguistic constraints that a hand-written grammar allows us to formulate,e.g.expressing X-bar principles or barring very marked construc-tions,further reduce parsing time by at least an order of magnitude.Since the grammar is on Penn tags (except for few closed classed words,e.g.allow-ing including to function as preposition)the effort for writing it manually is manageable.It has been developed from scratch in about a person month,Figure1:Pro3Gres parserflowchartusing traditional grammar engineering development cycles.It contains about1000rules,the number is largely so high due to tag combinatorics:for ex-ample,the various subject attachment rules combin-ing a subject(NN,NNS,NNP,NNPS)and a verb (VBZ,VBP,VBG,VBN,VBD)are all very simi-lar.The parser is fast enough for large-scale appli-cation to unrestricted texts,and it delivers depen-dency relations which are a suitable base for a range of applications.We have used it to parse the entire100million words British National Corpus ()and similar amounts of biomedical texts.Its parsing speed is about 500,000words per hour.Theflowchart of the parser can be seen infigure1.Pro3Gres(PRObabilistic PROlog-implemented RObust Grammatical Role Extraction System)uses a dependency representation that is close to LFG f-structure,in order to give it an established lin-guistic background.It uses post-processing graph structure conversions and mild context-sensitivity to capture long-distance dependencies.We have ar-gued in(Schneider,2005)that LFG f-structures can be parsed for in a completely context-free fashion, except for embedded WH-questions,where a de-vice such as functional uncertainty(Kaplan and Za-enen,1989)or the equivalent Tree-Adjoining Gram-mar Adjoining operation(Joshi and Vijay-Shanker, 1989)is used.In Dependency Grammar,this device is also known as lifting(Kahane et al.,1998;Nivre and Nilsson,2005).We use a hand-written competence grammar, combined with performance-driven disambiguation obtained from the Penn Treebank(Marcus et al.,1993).The Maximum-Likelihood Estimation (MLE)probability of generating a dependency re-lation R given lexical heads(a and b)at distance(in chunks)δis calculated as follows.p(R,δ|a,b)∼=p(R|a,b)·p(δ|R)=#(R,a,b)ni=1#(R i,a,b)·#(R,δ)#RThe counts are backed off(Collins,1999;Merlo and Esteve Ferrer,2006).The backoff levels include semantic classes from WordNet(Fellbaum,1998): we back off to the lexicographerfile ID of the most frequent word sense.An example output of the parser is shown infigure2.3Domain AdaptationBased on our experience with parsing texts form the biomedical domain,we have used the following two adaptations to the domain of chemistry.(Hindle and Rooth,1993)exploit the fact that in sentence-initial NP PP sequences the PP unambigu-ously attaches to the noun.We have observed that in sentence-initial NP PP PP sequences,also the sec-ond PP frequently attaches to the noun,the noun itself often being a relational noun.We have thus used such sequences to learn relational nouns from the unlabelled domain texts.Relational nouns are allowed to attach several argument PPs in the gram-mar,all other nouns are not.Multi-word terms,adjective-preposition construc-tions and frequent PP-arguments have strong collo-cational force.We have thus used the collocation extraction tool XTRACT(Smadja,2003)to discover collocations from large domain corpora.The prob-ability of generating a dependency relation is aug-mented for collocations above a certain threshold. Since the tagging quality of the Chemistry testset is high,the impact of multi-word term recognition was lower than the biomedical domain when using a standard tagger,as we have shown in(Rinaldi et al., 2007).For the CHILDES domain,we have not used any adaptation.The hand-written grammar fares quite well on most types of questions,which are very fre-quent in this domain.In the spirit of the shared task,we have not attempted to correct tagging errors, which were frequent in the CHILDES domain.We have restricted the use of external resources to the hand-written,domain-independent grammar,and to WordNet.Due to serious problems in mapping ourFigure2:Example of original parser outputLFG f-structure based dependencies to the CoNLL representation,much less time than expected was available for the domain adaptation.4Our ResultsWe have achieved average results:Labeled attach-ment score:3151/5001*100=63.01,unlabeled at-tachment score:3327/5001*100=66.53,label ac-curacy score:3832/5001*100=76.62.These re-sults are about10%below what we typically obtain when using our own dependency representation or GREV AL(Carroll et al.,2003),a deep-syntactic an-notation scheme that is close to ours.Detailed eval-uations are reported in(Schneider,2007).Our map-ping was quite poor,especially when conjunctions are involved.Also punctuation is attached poorly.5.7%of all dependencies remained unmapped(un-known in thefigure).We give an overview of the the relation-dependent results infigures1and2. Generally,mapping problems between different rep-resentations would be smaller if one used a depen-dency representation that maximally abstracts away from form to function,for example(Carroll et al., 2003).We have obtained results slightly above average on the CHILDES domain,although we did not adapt the parser to this domain in any way(unlabeled at-tachment score:3013/4999*100=60.27%).
