Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup, round 1, Monza, ItalyDifficult start to the season for the Porsche 911 GT3 R at MonzaStuttgart. The Porsche 911 GT3 R fielded by the Manthey-Racing team finished round one of the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup at Monza without earning points. A technical defect in the early stages of the three-hour race made it impossible for the three Porsche works drivers Romain Dumas (France), Frédéric Makowiecki (France) and Dirk Werner (Germany) to compete amongst the frontrunners. The German-French trio contested the category solely for professional driver pairings. In sunshine and warm summer temperatures, the 54-strong field from twelve different manufacturers took off on the 5.793 kilometre Formula 1 racetrack on the outskirts of Milan.In qualifying, which was based on the average lap times, the driver crew of Dumas, Makowiecki and Werner posted 18th. When the start driver Dumas suddenly lost pace about 20 minutes after the race took off, the trio were unable to improve on their ranking. A faulty sensor in the gearbox area forced the former overall Le Mans winner into an unscheduled pit stop. Repairs cost the squad 23 laps, which resulted in the #911 vehicle finally crossing the finish line 45th overall.In addition to Manthey-Racing, a second Porsche customer team, Herberth Motorsport from Germany, will contest all five races of this year’s Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup. The track configuration tests front and rear grip, across long and short corners, with a range of cornering speeds from the very fast Turn Three,all the way through to the low-speed final chicane. It features a long straight, rapid changes of direction and requires good braking performance. While resurfacing in 2018 means Catalunya isn’t quite the abrasive track of old, Pirelli will still bring their hardest compounds to Spain to cope with the high-energy demands of the circuit.T en weeks on from winter testing, warmer temperatures on the Mediterranean coast will create circuit characteristics quite different to those experienced when teams conducted their pre-season programmes at the end of February. The cars also have moved on from their launch specifications and, for many teams, this race is circled as the date at which they bring their first major update of the year. Taken together, these factors suggest the form guide from testing cannot be relied upon to provide a clear indication of pace going into the Spanish Grand Prix.The championship tables, however, provide a clearer picture. 2015年10月，法拉利在纽约证券交易所上市时，车迷们一度担心进入到资本市场的法拉利会在利润的诱惑下冲出赛道，迷失在家庭轿车的花花世界里。

不过所幸，现实并没有想的那么糟，尽管有一个扩产30%的计划，但在兰博基尼、迈凯伦、阿斯顿·马丁等跑车品牌纷纷跨界生产豪华SUV车的时候，法拉利仍坚守在赛道上。

是汽车还是奢侈品？2015年10月21日，法拉利以52美元每股的发行价在纽约证券交易所上市，证券代码RACE，成为第一家独立上市的跑车生产商。
