They also comply with the U.S.21CFR 1040.10regulations for a class II laser product except for deviations pursuant to Laser Notice No. 50, dated July 26, 2001.Radiant Energy: The BCL 300i \ BCL 301i uses a low power visible laser diode. The emitted wavelength is 655nm. The average laser power is less than 1mW in accordance with the definition of laser class 2.Adjustments: Do not attempt any adjustments to or alterations of this product.Do not remove the protective housing of the bar code reader. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. The glass optics cover is the only aperture through which laser radiation may be observed on this product. A failure of the scanner motor, while the laser diode continues to emit a laser beam, may cause emission levels to exceed those for safe operation. The bar code reader has protective devices to prevent this occurrence. If,however, a stationary beam is emitted, the failing bar code reader should be discon-nected from the voltage supply immediately.CAUTION: Use of controls or adjustments or performance of procedures other thanspecified herein may result in hazardous light exposure.S afety notice sThe use of optical instruments or devices in combination with the device increases the danger of eye damage! The housing of the BCL300i \ BCL301i is provided with warning notices A and B above and next to the reading window as shown in the following figure:Fig u re 2.1:Att achment of the s tick-on lab el s with wa rning notice sa t the BCL 300i \ BCL 301iABCL 300i \ BCL 301i Line s canner andM12 M S 3xx connection hoodBCL 300i \ BCL 301i with o s cillatin g mirror and M12 M S 3xx connection hoodBA W a rning: l as er a pert u re BN a me pl a teBCL 300i \ BCL 301i with deflection mirror and M12 M S 3xx connection hoodFa s t commi ss ionin g / operatin g principle3Fa s t commi ss ionin g / operatin g principleBelow yo u will find a s hort de s cription for the initi a l commi ss ioning of the BCL 300i \BCL 301i .
