There are many ring roads and the living conditions are comfortable. People usually go to work by bus or by car.I am glad to s ee these great changes in my hometown. But I think it’s stil l important to remember the past. It tells that we should cherish the present life.2The Population ProblemAs we all know, China is a developing country with the largest population in the world. There are about 1.6 billion people in China. The large po pulation causes many problems both in cities and in the countryside. For example, in the poor countryside, farmers don't have enough land to grow crops. In those places people even don't have enough food to eat. In some cities, many young people can't find jobs. And there is more pollution in China. Luckily, the government of China has successfully found its own way to deal with the problems. That is one-child policy. It has worked well in controlling China’s population.3Today the quality of our natural environmen t has become an important problem. The world population is rising so quickly that the world has become too crowded. We are using up our natural resources and at the same time polluting our environment with dangerous chemicals. If we continue to do this, life on earth cannot live. People have made some progress in environmental protection. Governments of many countries have taken many measures to protect the air, forests and sea resources and to stop environmental pollution.4Protecting the environment is becoming more and more important to human being s. It’s our duty to take care of the nature around us. Animals and plants are our best friends, and we should share the world with them. We shouldn’t kill wild animals, and we must protect forests because they are animals’ home. We must plant more trees and grass, and they can make the world greener. The more beautiful the world is, the happier lives we will have. Let’s do our best to make the world beautiful.5In the past, pollution was not very serious. But now people are slowly polluting the whole wor ld. Of all the pollution, I think the air pollution is the most serious. It’s bad for all living things. Heavy traffic is a main reason. I’m sure that if fewer people drive, there will be less air pollution. Waste water kills the fish and pollutes our drinking water. Noise pollution makes us become angry more easily. Many countries have made lots of rules to reduce pollution. As students, we should try our best to protect the environment and make the world more beautiful.6Good environment can make people feel happy and fit. To improve our environment can make our life better. But what should we do to improve our environme nt?We should pla nt more trees and flowers around us. We shouldn’t cut them down. We should stop factories from pouring waste water into the river and waste gas into the air. Whenever we see litter on the ground, we should pick it up and throw it into the dustbin. Never spit in pub lic. Don’t draw on public walls. It’s our duty to keep our earth clean and tidy.7English is the most widely used in the world. It’s one of the working languages of the United Nations. If you know English, you will have a better future.Most planes travelling from one country to another use English to talk with passengers. All ships sailing on oceans call for help in English. It’s said that three quarters of the mails are written in English. Over half of the books and magazines are written in English, too. So if you know English, you may have no trouble communicating with others when you travel around the world. If you are online, you’ll find that most information on the Internet is written in English. If you don’t know English, you can’t get information from the Internet easily.In short, English is becoming more and more useful. If you have a good master of English, you can find a good job and make your life more colorful.
