一、教材分析
Unit 3 Lesson 3 的主题为“Days of the week”,Lesson 3 “What do you do on Saturday?”的语言功能为谈论周末做什么事情。
本课主要以Danny 和郭阳的对话为主线,以“What do you do on Saturday?”“We often play football.”为主要句型,使学生能在真实的语言环境中用英语进行交流,谈论自己和同学周末经常从事的活动,贴近学生的生活,具有很强的实用性。
二、学情分析
本课的教学对象是四年级学生,他们对有关星期的知识有一定的感知,但对星期的由来尚不熟悉,经过lesson 1 lesson 2的学习,已经掌握了周一到周五的相关单词的认读,对于本课教材中出现的动词词组已经学过,有一定的基础。
他们求知欲强,急于得到别人的肯定,但认知水平参差不齐,因而教师应该设计不同层次的活动和作业,使每个学生都参与到课堂活动之中,都有不同程度的收获。
三、教学目标
(一)知识目标
1. 能听懂、会说并认读下列单词:Saturday Sunday hurry 及短语hurry up.
2. 能听懂、会说并认读下列句子:“What do you do on Saturday?”“We often play football.”
(二)能力目标:学生能够运用所学“What do you do on Saturday?”“We often play football.”询问并回答周末经常从事什么活动。
(三)情感目标:通过探究学习继续激发学生对英语学习的兴趣,培养学生的交际能力。
四、教学要点分析
(一)教学重点:学生能够认读单词Saturday Sunday hurry up,并能运用所学句型谈论周末从事的活动。
(二)教学难点:学生如何运用所学知识“What do you do on Saturday?”“We often play football.”在真实的语言环境中进行交流,谈论周末经常做什么。
五教具:单词卡片、人物图片、个人照片
六、教学设计
一:Warming up
T: “It’s time for class. Let’s begin our class.”
1、Greetings.
2、let’s play a game .I will do some actions,You can guess and speak out. (因为本课的重点是谈论活动活动,要给学生组织好关于活动的语言信息,设计这样的游戏为新课做好铺垫。
)
二:Lead--in
3、Enjoy the song “Days of the Week”. (利用歌曲引出There are seven days in a week.然后“Monday …Friday”卡片翻动,day 不动,引导学生自己读出新词,Learn to say “Saturday\ Sunday”)(用歌曲引出一周有七天,前面学生已经学过Monday …
Friday所以自然就可以引出Saturday\ Sunday。
这样就把本课的重点词汇解决了,为同学们后面的学习扫清了障碍。
三:Presentation
1、T: Look at the picture, who is he? Ss: Danny.
T: Where is he going? Ss:… (此处教师引导学生回答 Maybe He’s going to school.)
2、T:(闪现Tom and Guo Yang 的图片)Who are they?
Ss: Tom and Guo Yang
T: Danny is going to school, he meets Tom and Guo Yang; Can you guess what day is today? listen to the recording and find out the answer .“It’s Saturday today.”
T:Yes, “It’s Saturday today.”but Danny is in a hurry(教师做in a hurry的动作).(把hurry up 的词卡折成两部分,先出示hurry,领读;然后立即出示hurry up并领读,也可以开火车读。
(在这个环节我先以Danny 背着书包上学的图片展开,引起学生的好奇心。
然后询问今天是星期几,听录音回答,整体感知一遍课文。
学生回答今天是周六,然后我又继续说but Danny is in a hurry ,Why?让学生通过文本找出原因他认为到上课时间了。
)
3、T: Oh, it’s Saturday today,we don’t go to school.we can do many things on Saturday,for example:---(出示几幅活动的图片,然后让学生跟着提示说出。
(出示自己读书的照片) I often read books on Saturday. What about you? What do you do on
Saturday? ?(本课的题目提前板书在黑板上。
)教师指向黑板,领读then ask two Ss to answer this question.(出示刚才的几个活动图片)(教师出示自己周六读书的照片,然后询问孩子周末,自然地引出了What do you do on Saturday然后引导学生选择图片回答。
)。
T:What about Tom and Guo Yang ? listen and answer What do you do on Saturday, Tom and Guo Yang?
Ss: We often play football.(学生听第二遍录音,回答问题并板书。
领读问句和答语。
)有教师自己过渡到学生然后又过渡到主人公Tom and Guo Yang,衔接自然,
5、T: Tom and Guo Yang often play football on Saturday, I like playing football,but I often play football on Sunday. What do you do on Sunday? (找两名学生回答,教师引导。
)由主人公周六踢足球引出自己周日踢足球然后又过渡到学生,引出What do you do on Sunday?再根据图片让学生回答。
最后回到主人公Guo Yang身上。
Ss: I often play the piano.
T: yes, Guo Yang says “I often play the piano.”(板书并领读。
)然后问句答语一起读。
6、Watch and imitate . then, Ss read in groups. And some groups to come to the front and show it.(跟读、模仿;然后三人一组进行对话表演,找2到3组进行展示。
)
7、let’s chant : Do you like chant? Let’s say a chant.
8、Read and choose: You have known the text very well,I have some question ,please choose the correct answers.
四:Practice.
课本P29。
Let’s talk. Now, let’s talk about some pictures. T: What do you do on Saturday? Ss: I often ...
This time ,choose one picture and practice you're your partner.出示一幅图片先让学生说出图片内容,然后两人一组选一幅图片进行对话。
(谈论周六的活动)利用课本Let’s talk的图片让学生练习.
I have some other pictures ,please choose your favorite day and activity,talk with your partner.(拓展部分让学生在能够谈论周末活动的基础上,把周一到周五的活动也一起训练。
)
五:Application.
出示Let’s copy 的四幅图片,let’s match the pictures with the words. The first picture然后让学生说出英语单词,出示结果。
Show me your fingers,write like this .
The second picture...同样的方法学习后三幅图。
然后书空。
now you can copy the words.
六:Summary
You really did a good job just now. Please tell me what have you learnt this class.利用板书让学生总结出本课的知识点。
七:Homework
1) Listen and repeat lesson 3 twice.
2) Draw a story picture about you and your parents or your friends' talk about weekend activities .
3)Find more information about the seven days .
