全书共分11个模块,内含一个期末复习模块。

歌谣或小诗的学习,目的有三:一是培养学生的语感和节奏感;二是提高发音的正确性;三是通过这些英语国家儿童所熟知的歌谣,介绍一定的西方文化。

其中的一些不常用的单词,不要求学生在歌谣之外学会使用。

在本册中,我们将学习星期的表达方法,谈论有关郊游的情况,初步了解有关伦敦和美国的基础知识;我们将进一步学习如何表达能力,如何谈论将来发生的事情;我们还将学习如何描述过去的动作与状态,特别是如何在讲故事的进修讲述过去的动作与状态。
