于是,女娲就用针线把泥人的耳朵重新一个个缝上。一天,女娲缝好一个泥人的耳朵,把余下的线让这个泥人用嘴咬住,转身去找剪刀,当她拿着剪刀回到泥人身边时,一个好主意瞬间在头脑中诞生了。她用一根线,一头拴住泥人的耳朵,一头让泥人紧紧咬在嘴里,如此,泥人的耳朵就不会被冻掉了。后来,人们在冬至这一天怕冻掉耳朵,也用一根线一头拴住耳朵,一头咬在嘴里。时间长了,就把咬线变成了吃饺子,因为饺子的形状很像耳朵的形状。冬至吃饺子这一习俗便在怀川地区传开了,延续至今。
