课程简介:本课在复习已学过的表示修饰的形容词的基础上,引入新词“handsome/pretty/friendly/Chinese”的教学。然后通过“Guessing game./ What’s missing?/Listen and point.”等活动达到操练巩固新词的教学目的。在此基础上,引入新句型“What is she/he like?She/He is ___.”通过Ask and answer./ Work in pairs /Listen and answer./Make a survey. 等形式达到让学生在语境中运用语言的目的。
关键词: What’s he/she like?(他/她有什么特点?)理解“like”在本课的含义,并能够正确使用。能进一步扩展询问任何一个人或者事物的特点;掌握并运用描述性的词汇:pretty、handsome、strong、tall、short、big、 small、 old、 young.... Objectives:

3.Show my book and present a dialogue:

Use the same way to revise the words and write them on the Bb:

2.Show a picture of roses and ask:
“What are they?Are they beautiful?
Yes.They are very beautiful.They are beautiful roses.”
Then show a picture of a witch.
“How about this? Is she beautiful?No,she is very ugly.”Tell Ss that it’s impolite to use “ugly” to describle a person.
3.Show CAIs and learn the new words:pretty,handsome,friendly,
(1)Read the new words in high or low voice.
(2)look and say:What’s missing?
4.Present: T:This is Snow White.She is pretty.What’s she like?
Ss:- She is pretty.She is friendly,too.
T:Well done! What’s Yao Ming like?
S1:-He is handsome.
S2:-He is tall and young.
S3:-He is fast.
5.Show,ask and answer:
