英语校本教材一、前言校本课程是近几年伴随素质教育的推行而出现的一种新型课程,是改变教学观念、改革课程、改造课堂教学模式、改进教学方法和改善教学内容的重要举措。

我校英语校本课程是以英语知识为载体,以激发学生学习兴趣,学生特长为目的。

以学生为活动主体,使学生热爱英语学科,并形成良好的英语素质的一门课程。

英语课程必须根据学生身心发展和英语学习的特点,关注学生的个体差异和不同的学习需求,爱护学生的好奇心,求知欲,充分激发学生的主动意识和进取精神,倡导自主、合作、探究的学习方式。

校本课程的开展无疑给英语教学注入新鲜的血液,并在英语教学改革中,为学生创建了一个五彩缤纷的英语学习平台。

二、开设目的开设了英语校本课程,目的是为了拓展学生的知识面,充分挖掘学生的潜能,培养学生学英语的兴趣。

便于学生全方位地了解英语国家的文化背景,提高他们的学习水平。

培养学生欣赏英语国家文化的能力和创新能力;培养学生良好的道德品质和人文素养;培养学生的国际参与意识和跨文化交际能力;发展学生的个性,提高他们的素质。

以提高学生英语语言综合能力运用为基本宗旨, 以提高学生学习英语兴趣为目的,培养学生的合作意思与创新精神。

三、课程内容(1)由于初一年级的学生在年龄上较小,在英语方面的知识较少,又有好动、爱表现、胆子大的心理特点,所以就初一年级的学生中开发难度小可以激发兴趣的课本剧表演、背诵诗歌、讲小故事等课程。

首先根据学生的兴趣爱好选择一些简单、生动活泼的视听材料,如:录像,DVD等作为教材。

首先在课堂上介绍影像资料中会出现的生词并帮助学生借助图片等理解单词;用简单英语解释生词。

然后向学生展示教材内容指导学生理解故事或是诗歌,确定朗读基调、把握主题线索、掌握轻重快慢,反复实践。

教师示范朗读某一类作品,进一步体会和理解朗诵技巧。

最后由学生通过移动多媒体图片或表演的方式模仿故事中某些关键句的节奏和语调,以各种单人或集体的方法复述故事或诗歌。

写作技能是英语教学和语言训练的重要内容,也是语言学习评价的重要项目。

《普通高中英语课程标准(实验稿)》要求学生能运用英语正确、达意和得体地表述事实、观点、情感、想象力,交流信息,形成规范的写作习惯。

然而,目前英语教学中存在以下问题:学生的英语写作兴趣不浓,对提高写作能力的信心不足;“以教师为中心”的写作教学模式比较陈旧,不利于学生写作思维和写作能力的提高;而且,教师在写作教学中对学生写作方法的指导不够全面和有效;对于学生习作的评价比较片面。

这些因素对目前我校的英语写作教学有很大的影响。

因此,我们编写了校本课程《高中英语写作指导》。

三、课程目标1、培养学生英语写作的兴趣,掌握相应写作技能,形成良好的写作习惯;2、提高学生准确应用单词、短语和句型进行写作的能力,提升学生综合应用语言能力;培养学生自主学习、合作学习、探究学习能力;3、培养学生在英语学习中的自信心,敢于用书面英语进行交流与表达;4、拓展学生知识视野,培养学生良好的学习习惯;塑造完善的人格,促进学生个性张扬,丰富学生的兴趣爱好。

第五部分中英文化差异一、中英文化中颜色的内涵(一)黑色(black)汉文化中,黑色即是中国人眼中的宇宙颜色,也是中国人认识鬼的色彩。

地下冥间漆黑一片,自然鬼魂就生活在其中,鬼之色当然是黑色,因此黑色即是地下的色彩,又是鬼的色彩。

同时黑色在中国绘画色彩中一直占主导地位。

在西方。

特别是英美文化里,黑色(black)是一种不吉利的颜色(unlucky color),常常表示邪恶,死亡,哀悼和地下冥见(evil,death,mouming and the underground wold)等。

录入:魔王撤旦(Satan,the devil)被称为“黑暗王子”(the prince of darkness)。

黑色出现在英语词语中太阳也表示邪恶,忧郁,悲观,痛苦和不幸(evil melancholy pessimism,sorrow and unluckiness)等。

在汉文化中,蓝色象征希望,虔敬,稳定,沉着和素净。

中国戏剧中的蓝色脸谱表示坚毅勇敢。

西方文化中,蓝色象征文静,反对,单射,谦虚和理智(calm,reflection,modesty and the intel-lect)。

同时blue还被看作圣色(holy color),表示神圣,真理和忠诚(sacrednsee,truth and loyalty);蓝色也是圣母玛利亚——基督(Christ)之母的袍服的颜色(the color of Virgin Mother Mary's robe),是纯净的象征(a symbol of purity)。

同时,英语中蓝色也可以表示社会地位高,有权势等。

例如:blue-blood意为“出生贵族的”“出身名门的”“贵族的血统”及贵族、王室的后代”类似的词组还有:1.blue book 蓝皮书(美国议会报告或公文)2.blue-brick university 名牌大学(剑桥,牛津等,以区别于二流大学red-brick university)3.blue ribbon 蓝绶带(最高荣誉的标记)4.blue stocking 女学者;女文学家5.在英文民间语言里,蓝色往往表示不快,沮丧,忧郁,有时甚至是淫畏,畏藵等含义。

如:①.be\feel\look blue;be in the blues;sing the blues沮丧,悲伤,忧郁②.blue film\blue movie色情电影,淫秽电影③.blue funk 不胜恐惧;情绪低落④.blue joke 畏藵的笑话⑤.blue law清教徒式的严酷的法律(如禁止跳舞或星期天去电影院等)⑥.blue Monday 沮丧额星期一(相当于欢乐的周末TGIF-Thank God I’tsFri-day)⑦.Blue-beard蓝胡子;(喻)凶残的丈夫汉语中的蓝色于青色十分接近。

所以blue这个词在汉语中即可是蓝色,也可以是青色,比如,下面这些带“青”字的汉语词组在译成英语时用的都是青色,而是,蓝色,比如:1.青楼——blue mansion2.青天——the blue sky3.青出于蓝而胜于蓝。

——Blue comes from the indigo plant but is bluer than the plant itself. (四)紫色(五)紫色(purple)是由红蓝两种颜色等量调合而成。

汉文化中,紫色是及贵重的颜色,所以帝王的2被称为“紫禁宫”,帝王所在的区域是“紫禁城”。

由此可见,紫色象征庄严,高贵,在西方,紫色象征精神(spirituality),也代表爱情与智慧的结合(the combination of wisdom and love)。

在英语语言中,purple象征王权,庄严和高贵。

如:1.be born in the purple生在官臣之家2.be raised to the purple 升为红衣主教3.marry into the purple嫁到显贵人家4.Purple Heart紫色勋章(1782年乔汉.华盛顿创立的第一枚美国军队勋章,授予在战斗中伤亡的美国士兵)5.the purple 帝位,王权(五)白色世界上大多数民族都把白色视为代表和西方的颜色,(make white the color both east and west),这两个基点也就是太阳每天诞生和消失的两个遥远而神秘的端点。

在中国文化中,白色既有光明;在西方,婚礼被叫作“白婚(white wedding)”,新娘穿传统的白色的婚纱礼服并披白纱。

英语中,与白色有关的词语多带褒义。

如:1.days with a white stone 幸福的日子2.hit the white 完全正确;一点也不差,(源自古代射箭,箭靶中心是白圈)3.white-collar worker 白领工人(区别于体力劳动者)4.Whine hat 好人(美国西部片中戴白色帽子的人,对应于带黑帽子的坏人)5.Whitehall 白厅(美国政府所在地,象征英国政府)6.White House 白宫(美国政府所在地,象征美国政府)7.white lie 圆场谎(为不使病人难堪而说的善意的谎言)8.whit magic 善良的魔术(对应于邪恶的魔术black magic)从消极的意义上看,白色是西方死亡的颜色(the color of death)。

死刑犯要穿白色罩衣,这是一件表示顺利和听任安排的衣服,就像出嫁时新娘的白裙一样。

所以有些与白色相关的词语和典故又带着贬义。

它是皇室的专用颜色;天子的衣服角“黄袍”;天子的居所叫“皇宫”;天子的文告叫“皇榜”。

民间也十分崇尚黄色,把好日子叫“黄道吉日”;中国史书所用的黄色封面,被称为“黄历”。

象征完美、财富、荣誉和权力(perfection,wealth,cerdit and power)。

如神父胸前的金色十字架、耶稣在最后的晚餐中所使用的金色圣杯(the Holy Grail)。

但中世流行淡黄色(pale yellow)象征叛逆(treachenous aggression),这就是为什么叛徒的家门被涂成黄色的原因。

在现代英语里,yellow常和cowardice(胆怯,懦弱)联系在一起。

如:1.be yello 胆小的2.have a yellow streak 胆小,胆怯3.yellow dog 胆小,软弱4.yellow dog 黄牌(国际上表示警告,注意的标志。

运动员,教练员的呢过严重犯规,裁判出示黄牌予以警告)5.yellow journalism 黄色新闻业(指19世纪末在美国出现的以惊人的大标题,耸人听闻的文章,泛滥的插图,滑稽的特写及星期天副刊为特色的报刊,并非淫秽下流的黄色新闻)二、动物的文化涵义(一)动物的象征意义(Symbolic Meaning of Animals)自古以来,人们常借助于自己熟悉的具体事物,--符号,颜色,植物,动物等来象征某种意义,动物忧郁与人关系密切,也常常被赐予了特殊的涵义,下面是西方文化中动物的象征意义:1.The ant symbolizes frugality and prevision 蚂蚁象征着节俭和有先见之明。

2.The ape symbolizes uncleanness,alice and lust.猿象征邪恶,恶意和贪欲。
